saw this on Facebook.
Parking wardens are using them instead of clamps! The only way to remove them without a pin code is to smash the windscreen.

Not sure but it might be handy for overnight security!
Sure the could be wrapped to colour

Worst thing is you have to drop it back to their office after it's removed

Saves messing with the steering wheel folds in half so will go in the boot after

Plastic box & a couple of suction pads... I'm sure you could remove that with nothing more technical than a piece of cheese wire, although looking at the car it's stuck to it's just doubled the value of it!!

Should image it will be like clamps if you damaged it you pay for it.

And I'd invoice them for delivery, it would just happen to be the same value as the parking ticket.

Very interesting alternative to cumbersome steering wheel lock if you can buy one of these...

If it's code locked, also good if keys get stolen...

Just drill a 1mm hole in it and boom, the suction will be gone.

I certainly wouldnt be going to deliver it back to them....not without cost of delivery far exceeding the cost of the fine.

If one big suction pad?

Could alternatively be many smaller covering the area...

The video shows one big pad per half of the device. Lots of little pads would be a pain to get suction to I imagine.

The penny drops..

If this happened to @Simon L he would exact revenge by wiping his naked bottom over said device and give the full line of staff an infection .

Who pays for the scratched glass? Guarantee they'll not be careful putting it on and taking it off.

Is it shown from the back?

(Could still be sub sections...)

Anyway, aside of hating parking fines, and whether the product in question is foolproof or not,
interesting possibilities as anti theft device...

Have a watch of the video above and shows you from inside.

Is interesting as a anti theft device. but when you look at the principles of them, very easy to get around....although a good deterrant.

You wouldn't need to damage it as theoretically all you need to do is slip the cheese wire between the glass & suction cup to break the vacuum seal... or alternatively be a good boy like me & park where you should & for only as long as you've paid for & what clamps are used is moot. :innocent:

TBH it looks like the answer to a question no one has asked & as others have stated with scratched glass what if you extend that to having a pre existing minor chip or crack there is the potential to extend it when pressure is applied to the glass either when fitting or applying pressure via the suction cups clamping the cups & box edge seal to the glass.

Was intrigued when I read this thread first yesterday, always interesting with new technical solutions...

But must admit after some after thought, who would by free will put this clumsy, and probably easy by-passable, thing on his/her car...
:pride:
