Hope not ha but I did hear someone say that they would be getting stricter just hope not for the next few yearsanyone reckon MOT will get stricter soon about DPF ?
Apparently the process of removing is completely reversible so I'm not too worriedI think they do a visual inspection now to make sure the dpf is in place but they don't yet test to see if it's working or not. I'd have tried hunting down a knackered 1 and get that myself and keep the working 1 off the car I case it ever has to go back on
It is reversible if you have another dpf to go back in but it is a long process to get it re fitted!Apparently the process of removing is completely reversible so I'm not too worried
Haha go for it. The car isn't smokey either like I thought it may be. I'll give to car a good run tomorrow and get a better feel for the torque etc. as I mainly did motorway driving and there was loads of trafficSo so tempted to get this done now! Will have to wait for a full verdict at a later date.
Exactly my thoughts. Still feels great to drive through over stock. One thing I did notice was less turbo lag and a greater whistle from the turboStrange to see that you haven't seen much gains from the dpf delete, would of thought that you would of had more than, considering that a stage one should bring you up to around 185
That's crazy ! It will defiantly be nicer to drive, but it's still hard to believe that you wouldn't have any increase, the only thing that has greatly increased on that print out is the torque slightly. Making me think it's not worth getting a dpf delete by looking at that but I'm pretty sure it would make a differenceSomething I did find frustrating whilst I was there was that the managed to map (without using the rolling road) a 2013 bmw 116i 136bhp to 210bhp.
I think what they may have done is tweaked the map so it's not smokey maybe? Because I have literally no smoke or soot from it?That's crazy ! I still would have thought that you would of seen an increase in bhp ? Maybe someone else can correct me ?I think what they may have done is tweaked the map so it's not smokey maybe? Because I have literally no smoke or soot from it?
Well tbh so did I seeing as they state on the site it's 185bhp JUST from the map aloneI still would have thought that you would of seen an increase in bhp ? Maybe someone else can correct me ?
Wtf? How long will that last without any issues?Something I did find frustrating whilst I was there was that the managed to map (without using the rolling road) a 2013 bmw 116i 136bhp to 210bhp.
Thanks.Looking good mate
Did you spray them in situ our remove them? If the latter, was it easy?
Also how did you do the black on the side mirrors? Wrapped, sprayed or are they like they from the factory?
Cheers

These are the ones I bought http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm?itemId=321927309072@James.B8 What Eibach sportlines did you get ? As there are 35mm drop and 45mm ones on their page
Yeah no complaints so far. No smoking still and still got a good power delivery. Nice smooth drive as well. Higher rev range it is the most notciable. Very happy with it. Glad I got it doneWhat's the map like now you've lived with it for a bit?
Cheers, I've gone and ordered them ! Did you fit the yourself ? Also did you trim the bump stops down or leave them as they are ?These are the ones I bought http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm?itemId=321927309072
Nice one get some pics up when they're fitted! No I took them to a garage to fit. I left them as they were but I know a few people have trimmed them down to get the rear end a little lowerCheers, I've gone and ordered them ! Did you fit the yourself ? Hard to tell tbh and all the driving I have done since has been with a heavy right foot. Been using it just for the gym and to the fire station recently. But I think from what I have seen on slightly longer journeys is a slight improvement. Certainly no worse so I'm not worried. Once I've done a longer trip I'll have a look to see what it's like in comparison to beforeHow have you faired with fuel economy now that you've a few miles on the new map. Better, worse or no change at all.
Haha nice one. I saw your car as soon as I pulled in so I thought I'd park next to a fellow A4.Hi James,
Just spotted this thread and realised you were at the Helicopter Museum on Sunday, parked right next to me!
I didn't realise you were a forum member but I had to rush off, wanted to chat about your sweet looking A4. Anyways, here are a couple of pics of my filthy Avant next to your clean white car!

Oh right I'll have to have a look at then cheers. Ah nice one I'll hopefully order one in the future but won't be for a while I don't think as I've just moved house so all the money is going on that. Yeah it looked super nice on yours. Makes the interior look much more modern and sporty.Check out a Facebook group called "Queens square breakfast club". Every 2nd Sunday of the month there is a supercar gathering in Queens square. Usually starts quite early but there is some serious metal down there. Last Sunday was the first time they went to the Helicopter Museum and it was a success so they will do more.
I can help you fit a face-lift steering wheel mate. There is a bit of soldering with the wiring loom needed and a few other bits, but I'm really glad I did it as the flat bottom look sets it off nicely. I'm Bristol based too so hopefully I'll see you around bud.
