After a breakdown last week And some research and finally a compression test today it's official
Low compression on all cylinders
Results:
Dry. Wet
1. 45psi 96psi
2. 95psi 250psi
3. 50 psi 150psi
4. 120 psi 175psi

To be fair I did put a little bit too much oil into cylinder 2 for the wey test.
But the results still speak for them selves.

so what's next?
The car may be sold to my brother who might fix it

Will the best thing to do is pull the head off and check inspect the head and piston rings?
Then decide from there weather it's rebuild , replace or whatever ?

Initial dry to wet readings indicate the bottom ends away

Head off Pistons and rods out, check bores.
Possibly as simple as new rings and the usual other parts and on you go

Yeah mate the cams and follows seem fine, I know you can't be 100% until the head is off but the chain and belt all seems fine aswell,
So all in all the lump seems to have been looked after to a decent degree

I might start pulling it apart this week

Best way would be to take the block out and have the bores machined, chances are theyre not round anymore. Then obviously new rings and whatever else you can afford whilst your in there. Valve guides are probably all shot aswell.

I will have a think on what I want to do, I would do a rebuild if I was going to do rings etc

If not, the brother can buy it
