Evening everyone

As the title suggests I've placed an order for a new motor. Managed to get a cracking deal on an A4 Avant 2.0TDI S-Line in black with privacy glass.

It's a stock vehicle (MY17) currently sitting with Slough Audi.....and I'm currently waiting for it to make the long journey up to me here in Cumbria! Hopefully it should be here by the end of next week....which can't come soon enough!

I've been a BMW type of fella for the last 12 years and have today sold my last steed which was a 320d Sport Plus touring. Lovely car, full leather, adaptive lights and every toy you can imagine....but it was 6 years old and I was getting irritated with more frequent trips the the dealer for little problems. Decided enough was enough, time to change before large repair bills started.

And....I chose the Audi. What a step up in quality! Totally blows the BMW out the water. Needless to say I cannot wait for delivery because until it arrives I'll be driving around in an 11 year old Ford Fiesta 1.25!

Already been reading up on this forum and found loads of valuable info.

Well she has arrived!

And so has Cumbria's finest weather...the rain!

More pictures to follow once I've done a full detail.

Lovely! Does look good with the Privacy Glass! Wish i had specc'd it.

Enjoy your new car!

I tested a 3-series BMW m-sport at the weekend and the interior is far removed in quality from the A4, frankly for being a so-called premium saloon I found the plastics very low rent. First of all they put me in a se which was very 'floaty' in his handling. The m-sport was better but not as refined as the A4 neither was it as quiet. The only redeeming feature was the 8-speed gearbox with the gear changes seamless and difficult to detect. Needless to say I didn't buy, even though the deal was very good and still looking at ordering an A4 at some point before April next year...
