Evening all

New to the forums but been following a while now, especially the banter on the RS3 Facelift

I'm an S4 Avant Black Edition owner, in final year of PCP deal and I approached my dealer (who looked after me very well on my S4 deal) for an RS4. It's just such a experience to drive. That NA V8 is intoxicating. Anyway! I was pretty much snubbed due to the insane APR that's available on used RS4s. 12.3%! I was more than willing to pay a bump in monthly price for the privilege but, not nearly double. £980pm is going rate.

So, I'm on the hunt for an awesome, low APR deal on an RS4. 36months, 5000miles pa, £1500-2000 deposit from me. Less than £600pm ideally. Preferably a company that's willing to buy out my existing S4 PCP (recently learned this was possible).

Must haves:

Sepang Blue
Sports pack (exhaust etc)
Panoramic sunroof
20" V spoke alloys
White interior (not essential)

My point is, there are £599pm deals on brand new, factory order M3s and C63s. The B8 is outgoing and discontinued. I just need this car in my life haha.

Cheers guys, hopefully somebody has some good leads...

Welcome along. Hope you enjoy ASN. Not thought about downsizing to the RS3?? A good few unregistered ones kicking about. I'm sure you'd undercut the price you're paying just now.

The thing is Audi aren't budging on price because they don't need to. Merc and BMW are doing things cheaper to try and get the market but it's not working as well as they'd like it too. If you're looking for an rs4 you will probably have to pay the prices sadly

Cheers it's a great forum for banter and info!

Ohhhh, believe me...I've played with the RS3 idea for many months haha. I'm not gonna go down that Facelift rabbit hole again haha. It's just the size. I'd miss the boot.

I agree, they own the market for this segment, certainly the estate anyway. But, it 'is' outgoing and discontinued. Bizarre though, almost seems like they're putting customers off getting a used car. Which is fine, in order to sell more new cars, but...what happens to all of them unsold used cars? I'd toyed with waiting for the B9 RS4 but I just fancied having the last NA V8 RS4 for a bit.

There are some independent exotic dealers out there with with 7.9% rates. I'm shopping about but, Audi can offer more in the after sales area. More of an umbrella.

I got a loan at 3.4% which beats pretty much anything else, although I'm not sure you'd be able to get one big enough :tearsofjoy:

Yeah that's pretty much unbeatable I'd say! Haha. But for how much? Would need to be for PCP though so wouldn't make sense. A high street loan is awesome if it's less than £15k

There are a few high street banks that offer PCP finance. Lloyds and Halifax off the top of my head. Plus there are various other companies out there that will offer lower APR PCP deals (Oracle Finance springs to mind).

And you can PX/sell your car at any time with PCP. You're not locked in for the term, or limited to the mileage cap either for that matter

Very good point there. I'm actually speaking to Lawton Brook and Oracle finance at the moment about sourcing an RS4. Their APR seems to be the best and seem quite down to Earth. Audi trying their best tbh but, all comes down to monthly for me and they're struggling to get anywhere near Oracle!

Am I not right in thinking I cannot sell my car privately until the end of the PCP term? I know I can be bought out (just got my VW Finance settlement figure). Looking at average prices, I've got some 'not bad' equity in my S4.

Striving to get into my RS4 of choice. Haha. Getting closer.

What sort of figures are people getting for RS4's. Just sold my b7 saloon

You can sell your car to whoever you like whenever you like, even with PCP, so long as you pay off the outstanding balance. By rights, this should be done prior to sale, but if you sell privately, it's easy enough for the buyer to pay VWFS their money directly then pay you any residual.

And the Audi dealer aren't buying you out your current PCP. It's just a PX transaction.

Don't take this the wrong way, but whoever you bought your current car from on PCP didn't do a good job of explaining it to you.

Thanks for the info. I certainly wasn't clueless haha. But yes, I was slightly misled in the limitations of the agreement. Not that I've ever felt 'stuck'. Been very happy with my deal. My agreement does clearly state that I cannot sell the car prior to the end of the agreement term though.

As you say, I'm sure a deal could be struck privately 'and' with VW to settle. Might be worth exploring but I've not seen a car on auto trader that explains there is PCP to be settled as part of the sale. That would put me off as a buyer anyway...

I'm happy with P/X as part of a new agreement.

You'd need to make your buyer aware that there was finance outstanding on your car and that you'll be clearing it with the funds received from the sale. If they won't pay VWFS direct, you can do it in their presence once the money is cleared in your bank for comfort.

I wouldn't reference it in any advert to be honest, it's a pretty common occurrence
