Hi all,

In addition to my earlier post about S3 owners in the bucks / Milton Keynes areas I have been considering organising a road trip.
I am in the process of planning a route after a recent holiday to Wales (some roads there are brilliant!), there would be planned stops on the way for food / refreshments and pictures, Could even be an overnighter.

Anyway at the moment its just a thought, may be difficult to organise properly but would anyone be interested?

Anyone with roads/areas you've been to that are particularly enjoyable to drive?.

Many thanks,

Jon

I did the Evo Triangle in Wales a few years ago. Fantastic roads round there and I'd def recommend it for a road trip.

We did it as an organised meet when I had my S2000 with 40 others and stayed in a hotel in Mold.

Ah brilliant mate!.
Good car for tearing up the back roads too!.

The roads around there really are great!. The persons responsible deserve a medal !.
If you're interested I'll take note?

Thanks for your input.

The evo triangle is awesome, i did it a couple of times in my evo.

Id be up for something when my S3 is back on the road :nogarors4:

Anyone going to the triangle would be well advised to also check out the lower end of the B4501 (Bala to Cerrigydrudion) and the B4391 (east from Ffestiniog towards the A4212 and back to Bala). Shell station at Betwys-y-Coed stocks V-Power which makes for a longer circuit with a fairly boring but reasonably picturesque bit of A470 thrown in :racer:.

Definitely need to get back there now that I have suspension which...you know, works :D

YES!!!

Weirdly I've been conjuring up a very similar idea myself this week... I was thinking a bit more extravagantly though:

Was thinking of going all the way through wales to Holyhead (perhaps a few stops on the way etc), ferry over to Dublin for a night out then back (again, maybe a stop or 2 on the way back)... Would obviously take a few days, but just an idea!

I'd 100% be on this though, maybe start small and if all goes well have Dublin in our sights for Road-Trip 2.0? . . . .

Epic response VAG-Slag , I like your enthusiasm!! :-D.

Any suggestions welcome and a longer trip would definitely be fun!.
As you say we could start small and make something more of it.

I've been considering a small fee per head for organising food, hotels, even perhaps t-shirts or stickers etc but as I say all just an idea for now we don't have to factor any of those things in if we don't want to,
This is just to see what number of people would be interested.
If successful it could be a regular occurrence ! :)

Also need to get my car back on the road reliably first haha !.

Thanks for your input mate !
Cheers,
Jon
