So now the summers here I've found the need to use my sum what under whelming A/C, but I seem to have a weird issue.

So when first using the a/c it can take upto 10/15 minutes for it to even become cool then it will eventually cool the cabin to a reasonable level, it's nowhere near perfect but it's fine, could easily be colder though.

So anyone had this issue? What could the issue be? I believe it needs regassing but that can't be the reason for such a delay in it actually starting to come through with cold air!

Does it coincide with the engine getting up to temp?

To a point, even once the engines upto temp the a/c still doesn't fully kick in, takes another couple of minutes.

Why do you ask mate?

It does sound like it needs re-gassing Dani, if there's not enough refrigerant in the system then it cannot lower the temperature enough.

Just weird how when the blowers in low it will produce coolish air but when on full it's warm.

That's because when it's blowing slowly it can draw more cold off the radiator but when it's fast it doesn't have a chance to grab any.
