Yes, would highly recommend ECS direct fit brake lines from Awesome GTI. These even have the rubber grommets on as per the originals that prevent the lines from rubbing on the strut most other aftermarket lines do not .....

Just had a look I can't see them for our car. Don't suppose you know how you found them or have a part number for them?

Cheers. Do these give a good noticeable change?

Yes certainly a better pedal feel for sure but I've also changed discs and done a full fluid change so now the full effect is pretty awesome. For the cost of lines themselves I'd recommend doing it especially if a fluid change is about due.

What's your car mate ? Pretty sure they're the same for all 8V's but will check at lunch time.

Loving this Rob. V jealous. Pipes, discs all look fantastic. Subtle but all v effective. I need to do my hubs at sone point and would love to do more but have no spare time. I would love to paint the hubs silver, brake calipers red and install the brake kit and red brake pipes u have. They would look super with my misano red. Anytime u want a job / fancy doing mine u would be very very welcome ! :friends:

Thanks for the kind words Jungle - top bloke ;o)

Painted my hubs once but only one coat and they needed doing again so I bit the bullet and went for the brake upgrade.

Eibach springs are also red so would look amazing on your Misano !!

Will be the same fitment as mine then. Looks like they fit most of the 8V range :-

Pretty sure these were what I bought but worth checking with Awesome Gti first as they were listed as fitting the S3 and Leon too :-

I spoke with them earlier and they send me a link to the ones I need. I will be ordering a set soon I think. How much of a pain was it to bleed the brakes?

I've done brakes before on many previous cars and bikes so knew what to expect and there were no dramas. Had read though that the traditional manual method of depressing the brake pedal fully can damage the master cylinder seals so would recommend getting something like this .....

I've heard about damaging master cylinder. I've done plenty of motorbike brakes but never a car

You should be ok then if you've done bikes - same principles. If you use an Eezibleed kit connected to your spare wheel then use 15psi for the front brakes and 20psi for the rear.
