been told at a garage today that i will need to buy a new intake manifold complete with the motor, and he said its a common problem, has anyone else had this sort of issue before?

these are the main reasons for fault code p2009

- Intake Manifold Runner Binding Or Sticking
- Faulty Manifold flow valve
- Manifold flow valve harness is open or shorted
- Manifold flow valve circuit poor electrical connection
- Intake manifold runner control solenoid has failed

does anybody what i should try 1st and is there a way to unclog the sticking runnner flap?

can anyone point me in the right direction for best prices on a audi a3 inlet manifold?

I had similar problem on my old seat Leon fr sort of same engine I took inlet manifold off and cleaned all the sutt out of it. And it was caked give that a try
