Don't think Stoner is back racing this year. He is back as an ambassador and test rider for Ducati.

I don't see Stoner re-entering the fray either, he made his money, got married and settled down. With a nice ambassadorial role, why would he?

As for the rest, there isn't a fag paper between Marquez, Rossi, Lorenzo and Pedrosa, (who I think will be right in amongst the front runners this season). Pedrosa spent a long time running with injuries affecting him last season, but at the end, he was as sharp as any of them.

I would never bet against Rossi, but I do think that if he takes another title, that will be his retirement gift to himself. He's not getting any younger.

Let the show begin..... :yahoo:

I would like Rossi to win, but think Marquez or Lorenzo will win. I just can't choose between them ;)

I'm on back shift, so I had to watch it at 1.00am.
I'm not surprised by the way it panned out, but it wasn't the most exciting MGP opener.
Here's hoping, once they are back running in daylight, things will get better.

Oh and Rossi for me as well.

I enjoyed it, but I think it could have been better covered by the TV director..
Yes they follow the front runners, but I don’t think I seen a replay of Crutchlow crashing out, just him walking away.
Think a lot of the action was missed

Good to see Smith and Redding in the top 10

Yes, too much focus on the front. There was lots going on but it just wasn't covered.
I agree, it was good to see the young Brits doing well.

I much prefer daylight and it was better to watch. I understand the reasons for swapping bikes, but it sure made it a race of two halves.
The one thing that was easily predicted, was the two Ducati's ending up out. I'm just surprised it took as long as it did. They will be getting their ears bent for that.
TV coverage is still front runner orientated and there was still a lot that we didn't see.
Better race though.

Crutchlow down again.. What’s he like?

Feel sorry for Redding, that DNF cost him 3rd really. I think he’s going to be top brit this year.

Top ride from Laverty :yahoo:

The Ducati’s are going to keep this season interesting :sos:

I was expecting more from Jack Miller last year and this?

What can I say, Sundays Race was interesting to say the least.
Marc Marquez continues his perfect Austin record with a runaway victory over Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Iannone.

Valentino Rossi fell early in the race, possibly due to a technical problem, while Andrea Dovizioso was taken out of a podium place for the second race in a row - this time by Dani Pedrosa, who lost control under braking.
Cal Crutchlow and Bradley Smith fell at the same turn, just seconds apart. Both rejoined.

I hate to admit this, but Rossi going out early certainly gave the TV coverage a bit of a boost with the middle runners getting a bit more air time and it was more balanced. Nice to also see the Brits getting a bit more track time, although, Keef and Jools were both guilty of the commentators curse and I blame them completely for Cruchlow coming off. (Loved that wee dance he did after the Tech 3 and Bradders shot past him)...

:wtf:
Dovizioso was dead unlucky this time, poor Pedrosa couldn't have done that better if he meant it and it looked like a sore one.
One of the most impressive wobbles ever seen...!

Most enjoyable race, so far.

Sad to hear Crutchlow had his house broken into whilst away racing in Austin.

Two M1 engines going pop on the same weekend.....!

I remember when my old RD 250 would go bang three or four times in the same day.....:blow:

Bit of a bummer for VR46 though.
