I have 2016 cabriolet which was specced with ***.
Am I correct that there should be a subwoofer in the spare wheel?
Also is there setting on the MMI to individually set the level of the sub on the ***?
I have just looked in the boot and there is only a toolkit in the spare wheel.
Just want to get my facts correct before I complain to dealer.

Scott.

In the saloon the speaker is under the rear parcel shelf, but as you've a cab the roof mechanism might mean it can't be fitted there. Might be worth getting you're head into the boot though and having a look upwards...

Just had another look in the boot, nowhere to fit a sub with a folding roof, the only logical place would be the spare
Wheel.
I have definitely have the centre dash speaker.

Not on either side of the boot interior? I wonder if they don't fit them to the cabrio or they have forgotten to fit one...

The brochure details the speakers and the sub location (at least the saloon brochure does). For *** says 10 speakers incl sub under the parcel shelf.
Just looked at the spec for the cabrio on the audi website and it says 9 speakers and no mention of sub. So suspect you have either a folding roof or a sub woofer, but not both. Shame.

Yes it look like no sub on cabriolet with *** or B&O, shame really as Audi don't give a price
Reduction for not having it!!.

No sub-woofer with the Cabrio.
In the Menu Settings, there's no Sub-Woofer sub-menu.
Appears we have the Gala plus sub-menu.

With the B&O System, the following blurb relates:

"
The top system in the new Audi A3 Cabriolet is the Bang & Olufsen Sound System.
Its amplifier, located under the driver's seat (it's actually under the Passenger Seat, must be a European or American Website),
has 625 watts of acoustic power and 13 channels, and it drives 13 loudspeakers including a center speaker and two kick-bass loudspeakers.
The sound processor analyzes noise levels inside the car with a microphone to optimize the sound.
"

Taken from the B&O Website for the Audi A3 Cabriolet:

"
Specifications
Speakers

13 fully active loudspeakers

Design

Loudspeaker grilles in the front doors which are highlighted with an anodized platinum-coloured aluminium trim and a thin white light
that acts to further accentuate the design language of the brand and the Bang & Olufsen Sound System.

Amplifier

13-channel amplifier with 625 Watts

Sound Features

5.1 Surround Sound (only available with the MMI Navigation plus).
GALA plus automatically adjusts the sound in the vehicle depending on speed and other environmental noises.
Sound settings: front and all

Sound automatically adjusts to all noise conditions, ensuring every note is delivered in its most optimised quality, whether driving top-down or open-top. This is due to GALA plus, a system that compensates for vehicle noise by using a microphone integrated into the ceiling of the cockpit to measure changing noise conditions and automatically adapt the volume and timbre produced by the sound system accordingly.

It's a bit like the Voice Activate Button - we don't have that either !!
(Well, we have the Button, it just doesn't do anything).

But we do have the sun in our eyes and the wind in our hair

:sign yum:

No sun in our eyes down south this week and the roof is staying up !!!
