The items from Raywell arrived.

The puddle lights are very poorly made.

The logo rotates randomly inside the casings on both. One time the logo might be at one angle, next time opposite angle, next time another angle. By tapping the unit you can make the logo rotate randomly. Happened to all units

The heatsinks are poorly made.

Also, they fit very tight in the housing of the door making them impossible to get out. One of the pin connectors was also bent and plastic molding leftovers inside one of the units.

Lastly, the thermal cutouts mean the lights work only for a very short time and I suspect to get the brightness for the logo they are overpowering the units - plenty of heat from the heatsink. Much less useful than the originals.

I've put the originals back in. Sadly, in getting one of the originals out a bit of the plastic casing came off so looks like I'm up for a new one of the stock ones now.

Very disappointed.

I am also going to throw out the CF keyfob surround. I assumed, wrongly that this was a click on device, not something needing 3m tape. It doesn't fit very well and leaves sharp edges. I could dremmel them down but so dissatisfied with the products overall, I'm not going to bother.

However, it didn't affect unlocking or locking the car.

What an absolute fail by Raywell. I've sent them an email.

Will write it down to a bad decision. Wife isn't happy.

The puddle
Lights I got from ray well were a perfect fit and did not move around as yours. The key fob was exactly as you say. I emailed them re the fitting and adhesive required they did offer to accept return at my expense and refund once they received it. I declined. Live and learn I suppose. I was about to order a pair of the puddle lights for the rear doors. Might hold off now.

Puddle light films deteriorate (Raywells words) in months, not years

Logo screen can come loose at any time

Edit - it isn't the unit that moves but the logo screen within the unit that is held by a clip. They can fail at any time.

To placate the wife with the bad purchase we went and bought two new MTBs yesterday. Screw the car, MTBs are more fun :)

I forgot to mention the CTS Turbo Muffler Delete, soo: the sound is strong in cold start (downpipe effect), then it stabilizes. The driving is very smooth and quiet until your right foot became heavier, then it´s a complete beast. I can hardly hear the DV when going down through the throttle.
I have a pedal box installed that i have not tried with the upgraded ECU, i don´t need it i think (otherwise race track).

I had the fun of taking off my jb1 box, driving 35 miles to the dealer to have my seat cover done, drove off in an Audi A4 to be called later to told the seat cover hasn't arrived even though it's been weeks and I need to do the whole thing again. Few positives my car feel amazing with the JB1 back on, can now put it on in 20 mins and they've promised me an RS of somekind when the seat cover finally arrives

I fitted my "solution" to tailpipe sooting and corrosion... And gave the wheels a nice heavy coat of AD Very Berry wheel sealant and Endurance tyre gel!

Not cheap £38 each which is why I now wipe them over with a baby wipe every other day. Could recoup some costs tho by having the originals re-chromed and then selling them.

Just polished out some cat scratches on the back of the car! :wtf:

What's the law if a cat does damage that you can't polish out? I know who owns the cat.

Watch the very start at the back:
