Thought I would start a little build thread, progress may be slow but hopefully useful for some people.

First I'll start with the standard specification of the car for those who don't know:
- Xenon lights
- LED DRLs
- S-Line half leather heated seats
- Bose Sound System
- Front Arm Rest
- 18" Black Edition Alloys
- Flat Bottom Multifunctional Steering Wheel
- Aux, A/C etc...

First thing I did with the car was enable the leaving home feature via VCDS. The headlight stalk has to be flashed when leaving the car for the lights to enable, unfortunately I do not have the auto lights installed so cannot use coming home lights.

Then I installed the OEM Audi Number plate LEDs which come standard in the Audi Q7, RS6 etc:

I also installed a bypass loom from @t8ups to remove the number plate error light.

De-wipered, glass bung used:

Thanks for looking.

...nice looking motor, Danny...

...what's going to be your next improvement?

Simon

...thinking of going to black Audi rings myself - front and rear...I believe Raywell Design do sets...

Simon

...no, I don't...never thought that what I'm doing would be interesting enough ...

Simon

...good point...might do some sort of post when I've had everything done...

...by this time next week, I'll have my car at a level I'm happy with - at least for a few months - and then it's time to think about full turbo-back exhausts / Wagner intercooler and CAI / Stage 2 re-map...oh God! What have I started? The bug has definitely bitten me...:help:...

Sounds like you definitely need a build thread then

Looks nice!
Debating the wiper delete myself but I think I'll miss it once it's gone

Might do it when I get my S3 diffuser/lower bumper and a dual exit exhaust! Symmetry

Could de badge the entire logo?
I think it would look clean since you've de-wipered it

Looks spot on...I'm not a fan of the totally debadged look, the audi rings should stay.

Only a small mod last weekend, slightly upgrade from the standard fog lights:

Hard to see the difference in the daylight.

Nice build dude, keep the subtle mods coming! I can notice the difference from the fogs and for the price you cannot go wrong.

Thanks! Slowly but surely, still enjoying the car to be honest. Recently the car has had a full service, pollen, air & fuel filter carried out myself but took it to Audi Specialist for the oil & oil filter to get the service stamp.

But you're right they are quite a lot different, they are at night that's for sure. Always baffles me that they leave the yellowish lights on the fogs even though it comes with LED DRL's & Bi-Xenons...

I sh*t you not I was just having the exact same conversation with my friend! But I guess Audi can't afford it ;) anyways keep up to good work, have you got any plans in the pipeline?

Crazy!

I think next on the list is Interior LED Kit & Wind Deflectors.

I have done both. The interior LEDs really do add a premium look to the car and the wind deflectors also look very nice.

Not much of an update really, just been making sure the interior and exterior is kept clean and regular maintenance when I've had the time.

Car is booked in on Tuesday for a brake fluid change and to replace the hex drive on the oil pump.

White light in fog is no good, that's why fog lights will always be 'yellow'...next time you're in fog turn your full beam on (bi-xenon) and let me know how you get on..

Very nice car, virtually identical to mine in terms of spec. Just a few minor differences :)

What bulbs do you have fitted to your fogs? I need to look into this oil pump hex shaft thing on mine.

Thanks!

What's different on your car?

They were some cheap eBay ones that a few members on here took advantage of for a whole £1.57! But it depends when your car was made, end of 2009 you should be fine.

Mine's a late 08 but is a facelift. Those bulbs sound cheap enough though, worth a punt.

I think the only factory difference is that mine has factory full leather, I think the rest was done by the previous owner such as S3 door mirrors, RNS-E, chrome pedals, Q3 heater panel, LED light pack and cruise control fitted by myself.

Yeah for sure! But would definitely get it checked out then.

Does yours have heated seats? But sounds good, I'm looking at installing cruise control in mine.

Had the brake fluid, oil & hex drive changed and also the MOT done.

Fairly major update:

Need to get some air line for the install and then get the temporary boot build marked out to screw down the compressor, tank & manifold.

In a few weeks I will be putting it on air, getting it tracked up and some new tyres.

Currently how the boot is looking:

After I get the air ride actually on, make sure it's working as it should then I will finish the boot. Will need some mdf on the top then covered in carpet. Thinking of hinging it for easy access to the spare wheel.

Also picked up a 60ft roll of air line from Only Charged Dubs ready for the install.

Wow nice, looking like a nice clean install so far. Defiantly need to redo mine. Have you thought about using copper piping for compressor to tank and tank to manifold. You on edition 38?

Thanks buddy.

I have thought about it, at the minute the main aim is the get the struts and rear bags on and air lines sorted to make sure everything works properly. Will make it look better and show worthy at a later date.

May need to lower the manifold slightly so I can put a board on top.

I have an account on there but don't really go on.

So got the air ride on over the weekend, took long enough! Still need to remove the anti roll bar at some point. Car is getting tracked this weekend with new tyres on too.

Next will be to get a chassis notch done to the car.
