yourAudi - Track New Car Order

That sounds right for Piano Black.

I have checked all the options on mine to the translated options list and its exactly right whereas Myaudi shows a couple of discrepancies including the trim as you have discovered.

It would seem that the translated options is reliable.

Translated options is the only thing you should pay attention, everything else is inaccurate guesswork on your audi's part

Well from an order in the last week of January, mine has finally moved to the panel shop according to the tracker. Judging by other people's experience that may mean anything! The build date I was given was next week so it's about on schedule.
 
My build week is next week and it moved to the same panel status today.

I've also noticed that my order date is recorded as the end of Jan when I ordered the end of Feb and it was definitely a brand new order and not piggy backing into an existing. I see people in here that ordered way after me are getting their cars quite abit before me! How is that?

Are you sure? I'm the same (the order date showing in yourAudi is about 1 month prior to the date I actually ordered) and I was assuming that was due to my order being a modified order the dealer had already put through. Did your dealer explicitly tell you it was a new order? if so then it could just be yet another bug with the yourAudi system.

Dunno mate, its a mystery to me and I think I'm probably one of those people. Ordered my saloon the middle of March, original order date showing on yourAudi as 10th February, build due to start on 18th April. Maybe something in your spec that has some unpublished delays associated with it? When I put my order in though I was told by my dealer that other than heated windscreen/black optics there were no other known delays so I could change anything I wanted (even engine, transmission etc.) and the build date would remain the same.

...or maybe certain dealers getting preferential treatment from the factory due to sales volumes etc.?
 
Yeah its defo a new order. Dealer told me it was easier than modifying an existing order what with my big spec.
 
I don't think there is any way of telling if its a new order and I would be surprised if the dealers don't spec change stock orders. Its far better for them to change a stock order to one for a known buyer than bring in a stock car that they may not be able to shift.
 
Well just seen my car has been brought forward to build week 19 (9 May).

I want it pushed back! To my2017 model! Lol
 
I wasn't going to order the B&O, but would it be worth me ordering it so my order gets pushed back and ends up being a MY2017 model?

If I cancelled my order now and took another one, I wouldn't get car until Sep or Oct, but then I might be able to get the black pack (if it becomes available!).
 
My cars due to begin building next Monday but it's in the paint shop already!

My dealership thinks I will get my car around 19 June. So that's 5 months since ordering (or 6 months according to MyAudi).

I'm jealous if all you guys getting your cars earlier! Lol. Post up pics and reviews when you get them!

audi upgrades
Mine went to status 20 yesterday (build week 17, 25/04), anyone have any idea when I should see it?
4 weeks or so from start of build week, is what I am guessing, or is that optimistic- anyone like to share experience?
 
Mine was build week 15 which is this week, but it was built last week and is now waiting for a ship and should be in the country next week. Hopefully I will have it by the end of the month. 4 weeks is probably the average but cars do appear to be being brought forward.
 
hmy7k - Did you track your build purely with 'YouAudi' or did you check build week using the API interface?
 
I used the API, it does seem to update somewhat inconsistently. It went from in preparation to status 38 which I think is at the port in a couple of days. status 30 appears to be dated before status 24.

Thinking ahead, how do you know about the shipment dates etc?

Just select UK/Ireland and check out the sailings to Sheerness or Grimsby depending on where your dealer is.
Mine is Grimsby so hopefully next week.

Yes the 272 is going to be nice, I was planning on an S4 but having driven the 272 I think its enough for me and I have spent the extra on options...
And the V6 is a such a nice engine.

I found that shipping schedule but my car came over this week on a ship not mentioned on the schedule! Worth monitoring all ships coming out of Emden using marine tracker. My car came over on the EMS highway, arrived in Grimsby yesterday morning.

Mine too, due to start build on Monday 18th but showed panel shop yesterday and now paint shop today!

I was monitoring marinetraffic.com, and got some further info over on the a3 new order forum which indicated that the EMS highway was a possibility. My dealer confirmed that my car was on the ship due into Grimsby on Thursday morning so it all came together that way. It would be so much easier if the tracker indicated what boat our cars were on!!!
 
I'm waiting for a ship too. the car has been at status 38 since the 12th. Here's the history for those of you still waiting to get to the factory:

The predicted build week was the week starting 11th April so running around the expected schedule. Interestingly the QC stage shows as completing after it left the factory?
 
I ordered on the 2nd March. My build week is 17, which is w/c 25th April. This week I moved to stage 3 on yourAudi tracker ('Preparation'). Judging by the progress of @h1r4's car above, I'm expecting (hoping!!) that I will progress along the tracker next week, i.e. Possibly ahead of schedule by one week. We'll see! Hoping for delivery mid to late May.

Which port will yours come in to, mine will be Sheerness?

I ordered through Exeter Audi, so I assume Sheerness for me too
 
Mine is Oxford Audi. My birthday is mid-May, so if it came then, it would make a good birthday present, failing that having it in time to blast off somewhere for half-term would also be handy (or sit in traffic jams)...
