What have you done to your 8V today?

Daytona Grey A3 Vs Thunder Grey JCW
Took my mate to pick up her Mini from having some personal touches added to it.
The exhaust tone on these things are awesome to say the least... But it Ain't no Audi!

What did your dad think of your car this morning?

Enjoyed it. Thoroughly. Especially thinking it was stock lol.
He's into his big bikes so is used to more power, his reaction is very different to my mums mind...

I then treated the car to a car wash.
Which this and the 6 previous have given me a large number of deep swirls that'll need correcting in due course.

Where some jealous *** bandit decided to scratch my car, I put the first layer of touch up on it.
3 more and lacquer and it'll be ready to wet sand and compound.

Jump into a A4 mate with the Ambient light pack....and it makes the the S3's lighting pack...look like a cheap 60 watt bulb pack....lol

Will have to have a look, my wife's Mini has got multi colour mood lighting and I don't like it, is one of the only things in the Mini I don't like TBH

Rain today - new Bosch aero twin blades juddering just like originals.

That was $50 wasted
Have you tried a clay bar on your wind screen, followed by a tar remover and fall out remover?

There may be stuff on the screen that you can't see

Windscreen has been clayed, machine polished and wiped with IPA

A few times

I contacted Bosch and they are sending out a free set of the Aero Twin Plus wipers - new PPP surface

Edit - it is a known issue. No such issues with any of our other cars.

Audi even has a wiper arm tool to fix the issue where other solutions don't work. The tool adjusts the contact angle of the blade on the screen

The tool will measure the blade to screen attack angle - generally the angle should be -5 degrees. The corrective action is then to bend the wiper arm in order to achieve this.

Tried carefully bending it myself using a cloth and two grips with little success. Will see how the new blades go and if still no luck, it can wait fir the service in 6 months

Sounds like a plan - other things to check are rigid connection arm to blade and also the load required to lift the blade away from the screen at the centre using a force gauge to measure the spring load in the arm. Could be an out of spec arm.

I paid £270 because I am a return customer. I have only just done the flash and the gearbox is still learning. But first impression it very nice I would know in the next few days.

Seems a good price if the map is good

Saying that it's normally about £275+VAT. AMD charge £299 for their map had it on my TT roadster a few years back.

I went with TMC because I have their Tunning box and that works great love it so I thought why not. Also the customer service is very good when you have problems 3 year warranty

The manual say 10-100miles for the for the phase to kit in and learn the new upgrade.

So by Monday I should have a better idea...if no good will be sending it back for a refund.

Fitted one of these under the child seat, recommended by a member on here :D

so this would explain why i found footprints on the bonnet, windscreen and roof of the S3 and my other car earlier in the week!.. . CyoUNextTuesday!

Note : this isn't my car, its a neighbours, but all cars have clearly been treated this way after taking a look! Luckily the mrs has taken the s3 to work today and the other car is covered in bird crap, so he clearly wanted to avoid that!

i have a video showing him jumping on it !

As it was raining hard today, and not wishing to break from tradition, I went out in it and washed both cars. All of us got very wet...
