well, after a long Waite, I got my lovely A8 back from the garage,
I had to Waite 7 weeks for a new ECU, and new swirl flap motors and wiring to be fitted to it,
I got it back and all was well.
I got a set of new floor mats, a set of brake caliper decals for it, and some caliper paint, I was looking forward to sorting it all out when 2 weeks after getting the car back it ALL WENT WRONG AGAIN!!!

it stopped dead in the middle of the road whilst I was about to pull out of a junction, I very nearly got hit by a van coming along the road witch I would have had plenty of time to pull out in front of if the car hadn't gone wrong,
I also nearly got hit in the back off the bloke in the car behind me, he must have thought it was a crash for cash scam I was trying to pull coz my brake lights hadn't come on, (because I hadn't used the brakes,) the car just stopped dead,
to make things worse, a guy on a scooter nearly hit the back of him ,and had to go on the path narrowly missing a pillar box to avoid hitting the back of his car, needless to say, I wasn't very popular that night!!
I managed to get the car to the side of the road, put it into park and hit the hazards , that's when x files things started to happen,
first, when I pushed the hazard light switch, the steering wheel moved slightly and put itself into the steering lock position ! ( keys still in ignition)
then I got error messages saying " esp fault- abs fault- oil pressure fault- SUN ROOF FAULT??? ERM ITS NOT GOT 1 ?
The keys would not come out of the ignition, the car would not start, and it got stuck in park!!
by the time the guy from Green flag got to me (40 mins later) all power had just vanished out of the car, there wasn't even enough to power the hazard lights,
the bloke could not believe that it was stuck in park, and the steering lock on with the keys in,
we went to open the boot so we could get a bit of power into the battery, only to find this has just decided to lock its self up, and the lock wont turn, to the point it broke my spear key!!!!
at this point I was remembering a film I saw as a kid called CHRISTINE, where a car was possessed,
well it did make me wonder,
the car had to be dragged onto the flat bed wagon using plastic sliders under the wheels to move it,
needless to say, I don't want that car any longer, shame too as it was a lovely thing as well,
I am currently waiting for a refund from the credit card company as iv had no joy asking for a refund directly from the dealer I got it from,
not put me off Audis tho, (well iv had about 15 of them up to now) or even A8s, as there ace, but this one is the child of Christine me thinks!!!
on a plus note, anyone want a set on nearly new innovate hyper silver alloys (19s) with new tyres, or a set of floor mats (used for 10 days) just drop me a line

Sorry to hear that dude.
i'm sure the hazard light has something for esp switch in it. as i have had to replace them before in an A4 and A3.
Having so much problems I would have probably done the same thing as you did. Hope you have luck with the credit card company.
