This is a great thread and should replace all spacer related questions so everyone has one thread to post questions.

no spacers

So I am sick of aftermarket wheels and have moved over to OEM rotors 19x8 ET 50. So, I need some advice from the offset/stance experts. The rear wheels need some help when it comes to stance with this setup. I looked at most of the spacers on the market and it seems that a lip is offered for 10 mm and above. I don't want to run a non lipped spacer. Everyone has their own experience but I must say after reading all the spacer threads that many have vibration issues with nonhubcentric spacers.

My options in my mind are trying MTM's 10 mm with 225 tires or just running 235's without spacers. MTM's seem to be the best for fitting without vibration. I doubt 235's with spacers will work with my suspension setup. Help please

I ran 30mm non-hubcentric spacers on my old car up to 3 figures speeds no vibration what so ever, 10mm isn't much. Edit: On private land of course ;)

Hello guys im about to get some spacers for my car.
Its pretty lowered and im wondering what i can get for my wheels
I see a lot of people going for like 10 mm front and 15 mm back

Im running with 8x18" ET 48 cause i figure most running bigger then 8" then i should be able to have bigger spacers i guess?

Depends on the tire and drop.
I rubbed front a bit on hard turns with 205/55 7x16" ET42, a lot more with 225/45 7.5x17" ET43.
Now I'm on 205/40 8.5x18" ET44 and it seems to be ok.

What spacers did u run with that?

There are some nice looking Audi's on this thread. I'm completely standard regarding alloys, brakes and suspension etc. however I will either be getting some 18'' x 8.5J Wolfrace Genesis (Gun Metal) or 18'' x 8J Team Dynamics 1.2's (Anthracite).

I'll upload some pics once fitted, coilovers, arb's & alk will all have to wait until I'm stage 2+ but for the time being, some new alloys on the standard suspension setup will do.

My first question is, will I need spacers or anything else in order for either of the above alloys to fit? I also want the rears to sit a little wider, I'm currently running the standard S3 alloys which are 18'' x 7.5J so was thinking 12mm will do, however both sets of alloys are wider, therefore will I not need spacers in order to achieve the wider look?

8p doesn't allow low offset. 18x8 et45 for the front is about right, at the back could go a bit lower et like 40 or 38 if you solve the rear inner arch trim but it's not easy to find wheels with that offset. Take a look at my thread to get an idea how it looks with specs similar to your plans and oem and spacers and aftermarket without spacers..
