I'm seeing offers of Teves or ATE front brake types, how do I tell what I have?

I used the EBC catalogue and checked the cars PR Code to find out I was using 312mm discs and which pads fit.

A3 1.8T have 312mm disc rotor size, most probably its 1ZA/1ZD code

Dave, yes I did just that in the end and they kindly gave me the correct part number and where to get them from at £86.74. I have now ordered a set from EBC at half that price ;-)

Do you have to keep the pad wear sensor in from the genuine pads to stop the light coming in dash?

EBC show a cable with the pads. I'll confirm when they get here in a day or so.
