Best I can do on my phone sorry! Tomorrow's Auto Zeitung magazine. It has three images of the exterior, one of interior. Official images! I'll post when they're out.
 
Tomorrow I believe... I used a packet tracer on the magazine app to get the URL to the front cover of the current magazine, then increased the ID number until I found the unreleased magazine. Although it's lower quality. It was in two separate images so I had to tile it using a crap web app, so excuse the white line between. I get 403 error when I try to get to page 15 where the a3 images are. But I know there are 4 images.
 
New 1L three cylinder with 115hp, update to the 1.6L diesel, S3 up to 310hp.

LED matrix lights available as an optional extra, xenon plus as standard.

New MMI MIB-2 with 7 inch retractable screen. Optional virtual cockpit and Audi connect with integrated sim card.

RS3 saloon coming in autumn with more horsepower.

Date on the cover is 06/04/2016.

Nice. Where did you get the engine and extra's info from?

I guess you have the actual magazine with you?

Does it say when it will be released and what price?
 
Extrapolating information from the API of a magazine app for android. Prices are in euros and probably won't translate perfectly to GBP. Couldn't see a release date but I guess it would be imminent. No physical magazine sorry!
 
Ah there we go! Looks awesome. Although I was forced to order my A3 Saloon last week through the company I work for, so I don't think I'll get the facelift :(
 
Guessing it will be imminent based on the fact I went to my local dealer today and they told me they have no order slots for new S3, so facelift is on its way!!!
 
Nice to see some pictures finally.

Subtle changes really. Not sure I am so keen on the smile along the bottom of the grill though.

Extra horse power is always great.

Hope all those that are waiting are happy with the new design and get there orders through quick!
 
Will be interesting to see what discounts are available on the facelift
 
The video says the S3 is coming later, and that it will have 320hp.

Edit: having skimmed through the info in the Audi media centre article it says 310hp and I didn't notice anything about the S3 coming any later.

Good that s-tronic will now be 7 speed :) Don't really like the new front end though, but I never do like the facelifts straight away!

Looks good IMHO

I may be tempted with the virtual cockpit if it is only about £450 as it is on the A4... Hmmmm

Cr*p... What should I do. I love my S3(old). But the virtual-cockpit, 7 speed dsg and better leds(matrix). That makes me think...
One "bad" thing with the old DSG is the 6th gear, I wan't it longer. Maybe this 7 speed dsg fixes that. When running motorway speeds (over 110km/h) the revs are quite high and fuel consumption goes up with that.
 
It's bad isnt it...i am in same boat..i love my S3 too..it's only just gone 2..but i want a lazy gearbox now for driving in and about town. Lol. Not sure whether to go down rs3 route or stick with the proper amount of doors.. (3). Lol.

I would hold off until the end of the year at the earliest. Get people's reviews and opinions on how the DSG runs before you make a decision?

Yeah, you got a point there. But my car gets older day by day and get miles on it and looses value ;) I think this DSG7 transmission is already on the new passat 2.0 biTDI. So it's not totally new. But then again, I have heard or read my about it.

What a nice shape. They've finally put 19" on the 3 Door Hatchback Model, about time too. I really really like the changes and lights. That said, is it worth me getting out of mine for one, nope. I'm not prepared to be out of pocket for some cosmetic changes. I'll patiently wait until 2/3 years into my "Enterprise Rental" agreement with Audi before I do anything. Might be production run end models by then too.

I'm dribbling. Love the 3 Door.

To those waiting for one on order.....I'm green with envy!

Can anyone find anymore definite info about the 7 speed DSG for the S3? No other UK etc sites say that. That's a big change if so.
 
I'll buck the trend here and say I really dislike the front. Too many sharp angles, they ruined the grill shape and they added a smiley face, WTF.

I like the rear tails but the bumper insets look terrible and ruin the lines.

Matrix LEDs are good but can be added and I've already said I really dislike the VC.

Nothing in this facelift inspires, not even a 7 speed DSG (which final drive sits around the same as the 6 speed) which as yet it way too early in the turbo variant and really unnecessary to add two more cogs but I know why they did it and it isn't for the reasons I'd want it.
 
Buzzzzzzzzz......:partypooper::partypooper::partypooper: cant wait to get mine ordered!! S3 looks nice but its a company car so going to be 2.0L TDI (Hopefully 190bhp) SLine at best... Bit worried about the rear lights, they look like the A4 configuration, i prefer the current A3 LED rear lights personally.

So it looks as though the 1.8t petrol will be no more as there is a 187bhp 2.0t. Should be some good CO2 and MPG improvements.
 
7 speed is for the smaller engines, the s3 doesn't get the 7 speed.... Otherwise I'm selling mine stock and switching everything over to the face lift!
 
Two things come from these latest details.
1. I'm off to Germany on holiday on Sunday so will be looking for a copy the current Auto Zeitung and also there is another magazine called Gute Farht which is purely about VAG.
2. Looks like I will soon be ordering another A3. - Number 10 !
 
Can't say that I like it.
It's gone from a balanced and handsome looking car to now just a way too angular looking front and a rather, overly heavy looking lower body kit.
Only plus is the virtual cockpit but I'm sure that will not come cheap.

I'm happy to keep my S3 another few more years and wait for the all new model.
