I'd like to replace all 6 subframe bolts
Can someone please confirm, what are the correct lengths of the standard subframe bolts?
Has anyone fitted the serrated washers to stop subframe knocking? Are there better bolts to use if so?
So far I've got several different part numbers ranging from 75mm, 90mm or 110mm long.

ive fitted loads of the plates, the Part number is 7M3 499 349A, as for bolts i just order them as i need them mate

A3 don't tend to suffer with subframe knock, and apart from the washer in that kit, it uses a standard Audi bolt - which is the upgrade the VW guys do to cure the problem. Save yourself some cash & just buy the bolts you need from the Audi dealer, they're cheap enough.

That's not true...
I have this kit and I can tell you it's worth every dollar...

VW bolts are stretch bolts and if they come loose generally can not be re tightened. Audi uses proper HT bolts that can be re torqued.
Tha kit above can be used if you are still having issues for a few reasons.

Dont buy the bolts from Audi, there the problem, they stretch. You need the higher tensile strength in the ecs bolts.

Thanks guys,

I've ended up buying 4x 90mm bolts and 2x 110mm bolts from TPS, along with the spacers mentioned.

I'd love to be able to get the tyrolsport or 034 motorsport kit but they are incredibly expensive and I'm only 95% that subframe shift is the problem I'm having.

The two plates, do they go between the subframe and the body or below the subframe and on the bolt?

If it's put between the subframe and body where previously there wasn't anything doesn't this stress the subframe??

Yeah they go between the subframe and the body on the 2 subframe holes.

No not at all, It's to stop it moving around due to the worn bolts and too larger holes in the subframe!!
