I know this will have been done a 1 million times but I want a honey combe grille that fits an s line bumper. but can't really find one :/ I'd prefer an all back one .

has anyone got places they got theirs from?
 
most of the aftermarket grills look shi!!!

get an oem RS4

Yes sort of! It's more a case they fitted 2 different types on the production line. And the grills are different.

This is a true S line bumper and grill

And this is the SE variant also fitted to Sline models

Both are factory fitted and listed as S line bumpers.

I was told it was due to shortages on the production line so they fitted what was available. Not sure if that is gospel. But sounds like it could be.
 
Yes the se bumper was fitter to some s-line. But mainly on the cabs and some of the very early b7's.
My reply was based on the op saying he has the s-line bumper
 
I know what your saying. But when he says he had a sline bumper is that because he has an sline and doesn't know what we do. Or is he saying that based on having knowledge that it's not a SE bumper version. But even if I was referring to my car I would still refer to it as a sline bumper as the car is factory standard and is an sline.

Better to cover all bases.
 
I'd say the first pic is my sline grill. but I'll. upload a photo. will the rs4 grille fit straight in then?
 
That one won't fit Ian, it's for an se and it will be to short for an s line mate
 
I would like a honey combe matt black debadged grille lol why is it so hard !
 
it needs to be a genuine rs4 or s4 grille for the sline bumper not rs4 style grille it wont fit,this is mine,car is a sline cab but has se bumper on it so rs4 or s4 grille wont fit so had to go after market rs4 style

Love the grill jeebsy really suits the car, but your car has a very bad cigar problem, every time I see it, it has a cigar in its mouth :grin:

cause I think I found one on ebay and I think on here too for sale. might have to get it
 
I've just plasti-dipped a standard s-line grille and plate holder. Just need to respray the grill surround (already gloss black, just a couple of stone chips) and then embark on the bumper off scenario (using the excuse that I need to fit a new indicator bulb). So I'm going for matte black inner and gloss surround. Should look ok on my brilliant red avant. Hopefully.

Will do sometime soon :)

Only one slight too-much-stuff-bubble in the Plasti-dip low down within the grille - don't suppose any one would ever notice (apart from me)....
