As above, would like to know your experience so far as I cant ever seem to get to the bottom of the 'best' spark plugs for our cars.

Its always a 'he' say 'she' say debate.

Easy , Copper as best conductor but don't last long .

Followed by Iridium then Platinum .

Iridium is the best comprise , but Copper the best spark .

Thanks Gazwould!

I heard its always a trade off with spark plugs between performance and longevity?

Im in the market of getting 4new plugs (service due) and not sure whats my requirements are.

May follow VR6Gordy

Iirc Iridium and Platinum have the same long life but Iridium is the better conductor thus spark , so the least desirable plug is Platinum .

Just done a bit more research on this..

It seems the general consensus is between the Iridiums and Lazer Platinums.

Lazer Platinums lasting for a longggg time (some on 100k miles + ) but the Iridiums being the 'overall' favourite.

Just for your information..

out of interest how long do you guys use your spark plugs before changing them? I've been changing them each year, even if i'm only doing 10,000 miles. Bosch quad electrode thingies last time. Can't say I noticed mush difference between them and the previous plugs... although they may have been the same. hmm.

what plugs are they by the way? I'm finding a few different plugs listed on different sites for a 3.0 v6.
PFR6U-11G, PFR8S8EG....
