Post pics of your A3/S3

Hello everyone new here and this is my first post after finally getting around to researching for an s3 forum!

After years of wanting one I picked up my first 225bam S3 last week here in Ireland. Its originally an Irish car which from what I have heard is quite rare these days! Anyway, great to see there is an active community of people driving them and I should add some pictures in this thread are amazing iv trolled through for hours. Im a big fan of detailing so the car will be getting a full correction at the end of the month.

At the moment Im on
  • Coilovers
  • 18' MTM BIMOTOs with pirelli tires
  • Brembo calipers
  • 323mm LCR discs with brackets and braided lines
  • Porsche 996 front calipers
  • Braided hoses and high tensile hex bolts
  • Mintex 323mm Leon Cupra R discs

Will be active on this a lot so hope to talk to a few members soon! Would love to know if there are any other Irish members here as well. Thanks

Finally, 1.5 years later, after new engine, haldex controller, shocks/springs, tyres, wheel refurb etc etc, it now looks and drives as it should.....

Got my 1998 a3, I'm thinking refurbing wheels spraying black, and going for a all black look, black Windows etc eventually going for blue calipers and other various bits, but start of the project

Hi Ian,

No prob's. It's currently off the car for winter due to the risk off salt ingress effecting the MAF. It's part of a Powertec SL1 induction kit. it would be simple to fabricate yourself to be honest.It utilises the 2 existing bolt holes from your original airbag for fixing. If you PM me your phone number I can send you some pics via whatsapp this afternoon.

You will still get heat soak though regardless of if you have one or not as it doesn't enclose the filter completely like a box version would do.

I did 4 laps, that was enough for me over the 2 days!
Was my first track day so didn't want to push my luck.
We just did the Nordshleife, is absolutely amazing !
