Morning All,

I'm thinking about wrapping the silver trim in the interior as they're a little scratched up from previous owner.

Does anyone have a tutorial on how to remove all the silver bits? I know how to do the door trim its just the rest...

Thanks for any help

Thanks! See the silver trim above the glove box do I run the risk of the airbag going off if I remove it?

Cant you take the silver trim off/on the console without removing the whole unit?

Cant be done due to the screw placement

It takes a while,but isn't difficult TBH.

I was dreading it before I did it too lol

It took me hours to get it out but I was being especially careful and doing it at night with only the interior light and the torch on my phone. Like @xpoweruk says, it takes a while but isn't that difficult really and I think the final results can be worth it.

I went for the carbon water transfer stuff from Wicked Coatings.....very happy with the results!

Just pops out like the rest. The bit round the MMI screen is glued onto the black plastic surround so you have to 'carefully' pull it apart once you've got the trim off and removed the hazard light button.

I would think 4 hours would be more than enough time.

Having a go at the trim on the rear door, the wrap is a nightmare it's called 6d Carbon which is just carbon wrap with a laminate on the top to make it glossy, but makes it not very pliable

I would HIGHLY recommend the guys at Wicked Coatings, I got all 8 pieces of my trim done for around £250 and if you didn't know it wasn't original, I don't think most people would be able to tell the difference.

Not a bad job :)

Its a fecker to get right

It's not perfect but it'll do, Back of my car is rarely used lol. Learning curve for doing the front

Fair play! I don't think I'd even attempt it. The door and glovebox bits I imagine are easy enough but sod trying to do the centre console or dash bits! Must be a nightmare!

Wrapping is really easy 8BA it's just this wrap I bought is really thick so hard to get it to stick down. Keeps wanting to lift at the edges
