So I took my new wheels to a local independent tyre fitter today firstly it took them 5 hours to fit the tyres after keeping calling in and trying to find out what hell is going on. They said they would call when done it came to 4pm and they eventually call I go and go and pick my wheels up in van they load them in.. I get home and notice one of the lips is has a dent in and taken off a strip about 3in of lacquer as well I call them back and they don't care and won't do anything. Say away from barrack Road tyres in Christchurch Dorset

Find out where their head office is and write to the managing director and complain .
Or go to the local papers and get them bad publicity .

It's 2 Polish guys that have a unit on main road into Christchurch and normally they seem busy and the prices were good so I took them there biggest mistake I have ever made.

ok can you send them a letter with say 7 days to reply and state how they are going to pay for the damage ,
Did you take photos before you went to them .

Without trying to sound like a smart *** that is probably why the price was good.

Taking pics before is a great idea but how do you verify the time and date ?

If you take a photo with a phone date time and maybe gps coordinates are saved in the meta data

What if you set the phone with the incorrect date and time ? I really do not know as I have no reason to do it.

I actually so have pics of them before they went in as I was gonna sell them but decided to fit tyres and keep
..

Not to tar all the eastern european's with the one brush, but here in Ireland the place is plagued with the chancers.they claim to be this, that and the other but none have papers to back anything up.

1. Was there any documentation available to openly view prior to the service about liability of damage?
2. Can you prove that (should they deny it) it was them that caused the damage?

If there was no documentation available and you can prove it, I'm pretty sure (please correct me if I'm wrong) that you can legally claim compensation for damages.
