My B8 build plans ..??..

Cheers Chop :)
Brings a little continuity to the colour scheme I think

It's Rustoleum Peel Coat (similar to Plast Dip)

It does appear to have a more satin like finish though

Just read through this your car is cracking and there's lots to digest but how would you rate the p3 gauge as your the first person I've seen with it fitted?

Keep up the good work and keep us all informed

Firstly,thank you :)
I love the P3 gauge,it is very handy to keep an eye on things as you drive.
For example I was at Santa Pod recently (sadly didn't get to run due to a car dropping its coolant) but IATs can be watched & kept in check using the P3.The performance data is interesting to use too (track pack adds a few more)
I used the 60-0 to see if the Q5 setup improved the brakes (it did :) )

So a very good investment for me so far.Plenty of other uses (freeze framing on peak boost etc) :rockwoot:

Thanks for the info it sounds great and it makes me want it even more it's on my list albeit down a bit. I've a few more things to get first hehe

I'm liking that and just like chops with the yellow they're growing on me. I only thought of doing mines cf or a gloss black but they look good.

I've bookmarked the centre console write-up for when I get round to doing it, it's on the list lol

You can wrap it without taking it off Chop, a bit of a pain to start with but less hassle, IMO, than taking it off. Took me two attempts previously with CF wrap but well worth the effort.

You can facelift the b8? You learn something new everyday.

I would probably say 2K is almost right when you consider that the facelift has different headlights, bonnet, fenders, bumpers, grill, colour matching with your car and then fitting. I guess thats based on second hand parts from breakers

You could probably make some of that back by selling on your parts though

Body shop did it,a little bodywork glue was used to secure it firmly
No cutting required

How well did the gloss black take to the dash surround? I'm planning on doing the same but concerned that the vinyl will come 'unstuck' from the indentations/recesses...

If your painting some plastic primer would do the trick

And if applying vinyl just heat it as you go to apply it properly and it won't budge

Cheers! Going the vinyl route as I have loads of gloss black from when I was considering wrapping my chrome, but had it painted instead! How long has yours been on for?

The gloss black went on without issue.
Preparation is key as interior plastics have generally got silcone residue from different polishes etc
