Kugaman it sounds like not a bad deal.Thats a decent discount on pretty much your spec. Are you doing pcp?

No mate, just cash.

My salesman is going to speak to the Manager tomorrow morning.

I need them to discount the RS3 by 8%.
If they can, then I will be ordering tomorrow.
If not, then I will be keeping the S3 for a while!

We are currently stuck at 6.5% discount. 8% may be too far for them but its the only figure that works for me!

Yes, its pretty annoying.
My car is immaculate with 4000 miles, comfort, satnav, privacy, red calipers....
Guaranteed they will give me £24750 and put it on their forecourt for £28000. It will sell within days as its as good as brand new.

Craigl traded in his base S3 manual saloon without a single extra....it sold for £30k in 3 days.

Issue is that the approved used side appears to operate as a seperate business to the new side...so they dont seem keen to help out on trade in values.

Whilst the new car sales seem keen to deal, the approved used side are beyond a joke with their prices....heres a classic example....

Their first demonstrator in Nardo....been pretty well "driven" by a few on here....not much of a spec to ralk about, just look at the price!

My March 14 plate S3 16k miles sold for £31k in October manual, roof, comfort F&R B&O Tech pack. Order new car, try to sell privately or get them to sell for you.

They gave me £28k for it too. With 3000 miles on the clock.
Surely they can give you a bit more for yours?

Just a thought but might be worth trying.
Say you will take it on a pcp if they give you a £500 contribution to the deposit.
You can pay off the balance within 14 days(
with no interest or early repayment charges) and that would get you close as dammit to your figure.
They think they will make the money from the finance but obviously they won't.
Its done all the time to get discounts.

Will just wait and see what tomorrow morning brings...

TBH, I think the deal Im looking for is a fair one....they will make plenty out of my trade in. Its absolutely as new with not a single mark on it! Even the wheels tyres have only done 1500 miles as its had my winters on since November!

The balls in their court as they say.......

Tried that one myself, no Deposit contribution on RS3 was the reply!

Deal done!!

Ordered just now.

Sepang, dynamic pack, Audi Sound System, aluminium styling pack.

Got a stunning deal from my friends at Aberdeen Audi.

Estimate delivery towards end of May, but salesman tells me he sold one last week and the guys delivery slot came forward by 3 weeks. They really want my car for early May.

My pal at Audi told me you had clinched it as he was going to offer the same deal when you informed him it was in the bag !

Just the wait now but it will soon pass.

I have 3 more sleeps and getting well twitchy now, I don't usually get excited but I've blown my budget this time so feel a little excitement is called for. I'm doing a midnight collection with a 50 mile journey home down some amazing A/B roads:blackrs4:

Good news, hope that you got the deal you needed and well done for holding out.
Never been a better time to get a deal in Aberdeen.

Sepang and aluminium, best combo on 8V range.
Dynamic pack the only must have on the RS3.
Good spec.

Guys,
Just a quick post to say a big THANK YOU for your help, advice and encouragement over the past week.

Buying the RS3 is by far the biggest purchase we have ever made apart from the house.

I almost wilted and went for the S3 saloon but you helped me see sense!

Thanks for the tips/tricks to get the right deal.....I know there are people on here that knock the RS3....but Im just a regular guy who drives on the roads pretty sensibly, not sideways round a track complaining about understeer and poor brakes...blah, blah, blah. When I test drove the RS3 I never stopped grinning...the sound of the engine is soooo addictive.
It looks stunning, sounds amazing and goes like u know what off a shovel!

Just got to sit tight in the S3 now and await delivery day!

Dont want to go too much into the details of the deal as my salesman went out on a bit of a limb for us, but suffice to say, we got to a position that made me very happy. I think we pretty much beat the price of ANY internet broker?

Oh, one quick question, does it come with mats as standard?

Appreciated mate!

Remember plenty of pics the day after collection!
When we collected the m135i we did the midnight collection.....thought it was going to be a bit cheesey but it turned out to be a really enjoyable couple of hours, I would definitely do it again!

Of course it has mats.

Who is your salesman?
We always use Graeme. Had 8 cars through him. It definitely pays off keeping with the same salesman.

Ha! Graeme Donald for us also the guy is absolutely spot on.

Bought my s3 through him. Tried to buy the wifes a1 but he was off!

Absolute topper of a guy tho!

My original build was Sepang with Al pack and silver seats with titanium wheels
Flipped when I saw pictures in here of Nardo with bsp
The wait will kill you- I've been in and out of an M3 since ordering which made it a very expensive 6 months!

Will only have RS3 branded mats though if you / he ticked the design pack. Can be bought for £700 after market though :tearsofjoy:

Did he up the discount or up the trade in?
Internet discount is 7% so reckon you got 8
Just nod your head if this is correct.

Also has the guy up there not got one for Jassy?
He's saying he's now given up but I reckon the Genie is out the bottle there.
Resistance is futile

Having slept on it overnight, Im thinking of changing the spec a bit.

All the videos with the standard wheels and alu pack make the car look a bit bling. Its not the end of the world, but I really dont like the framing around the rear diffuser.

Im looking to change to the black pack with darker wheels. It adds £500 or so to the cost, but I intend keeping the car for quite a while so want it to be right!

Also thinking about folding mirrors.....I assume they automatically fold open and closed whenever the car is locked or unlocked?

Get the folding mirrors.....i had 'em on the 8P RS3 and miss them....

I've bought the parts off a certain parts manager on here and its £390 just for them..........

I'll be fitting as soon as they arrive.

Totally agree .... black pack is awesome !

Titanium or gloss black wheels also awesome !

Folding mirrors well worth having.

One other thing to consider ... Black wing mirrors to complete the 'black' look ?

Yes....not sure my head can get around paying an extra £125 for black mirrors.....its killing me to pay an extra £500 for the graphite wheels.....****** Audi!!

Also...why isnt the interior light package available without having to pay for the comfort/sound package?
Its pretty annoying!

I personally think Sepang suits the alu pack nicely but I wouldn't have silver wheels-needs to be titanium.
Folding mirrors a must.
Get on that configurator.
You must have sold the kidney right enough!

Just kinda think Im planning to keep this car for at least 3 years, so want to make sure its just right!

Agreed, the standard wheels have to go.....

But the question is - black pack or alu pack?

I love the alu pack against the sepang from the front, however, Im not overly keen in the way it frames the rear splitter.

I love the stealthiness of the black pack but dont like the way it hides the front fins!

Maybe I can feel a poll coming on......

If u do go bsp then black mirrors too.
A lot of the launch demos were Sepang with al pack with titanium wheels and they looked great.
Its a classic combo.
Black pak stuff maybe a bit more with the times though.

Agreed mate.
Ive put up a poll.....I wish I could see all the variants in the metal!! Its a difficult choice just using different quality photos....

I was the same mate with cost of mirrors and rip off but in the end it was how I wanted the car to look so had to bite the bullet.

Great news on the order mate , always hard decision which pack and wheels to go for.... I changed my mind several times!!!!
But ended up with Ali pack and graphite wheels .....standard wheels just looked a bit too silver with the Ali pack for me.

Here's a couple of photos of mine with Ali pack and graphite wheels ..

Love sepang with alu pack or black pack.

Agree on wheels, titanium or black add a nice touch of contrast.
