Airlift v2 controller.

Sweet, have you done the wiring side of it yet?

I have yeah mate, all pretty simple. Buy a 3 amp fuse tap, tap into the fuel pump fuse with the pink ignition wire. Red goes to positive terminal, black to the negative. Run the wires through the car to the boot. Red and black to the compressor and connect your connectors. Also you need a 30 amp fuse which youll get in the kit hooked upto the positive cable right next to the battery

If any of you guys want to look for a used kit, add a group page on facebook called "Air traders classified", everyone posts their bits their selling on their and you can save a lot of money by getting a used kit. I spent around £1300 altogether for my kit which is also a v2 management with slam struts but mine has droplink bracket custom made which was done by the previous owner of the struts so no need to take the sway bars off. if you get performance struts they come with the droplink bracket so again no need to take sway bar off and also comes with front camber mounts.

Fitting is the easiest thing, its basically like fitting coilovers. In your boot under spare tyre there is 3 grommets, you make two holes there, feed two of your left side airlines through one and the right sides airlines through the other, take the airline to the front of the car and zip tie it in safe areas (so away from anything sharp or hot) and its just plug and play then after that. Only bit that takes long is the bootbuild. 1 day fitting everything (took me and one mate to do it in like 5/6 hours infront of his house) and then the next day making yourself a bootbuild.

Finally picked up my kit over the weekend, can't wait to fit it. Going to try and have it done by the end of the week. Where is the best place to mount the compressor so its out of the way and doesn't stick out of the floor. still want to be able to use my boot.

you got a pic of this or where you got this from? sounds like a really good spot!

So it has begun ... Picked up the slam kit last weekend.

Have to say that all the packaging was on point, packaged really well !

Checking if i could get away without making a false floor but no luck

So out all the foam crap came......No idea what that black panel is for
Maybe its a escape hatch for midgets?

After spending around two hours after work, ended up with this .....

Nice! keep us updated, never seen a flat boot before, I take it you have Quattro? The black panel is for your battery storage no? I have seen someone put the compressor inside there to keep the noise down. Gonna make a start on mine as well.

Yeah mines a s3, my battery is at the front so for now it stays a mystery lol, Going to have a look at the wiring loom tomorrow and see what bits i can get done. Aim is to have it all running by friday!

"Maybe its an escape hatch for midgets" hahahaha tickled me. Looks good mate .

Mines finally ready to have the begs put on, fitted a drain valve tonight just incase my compressor ever fails and got my compressor and manifold connected to my bulkhead fittings

Mounting that compressor is such a ball ache, but finally got it all screwed down. going to try and smash it all out on friday now as I've go the day off work. Hopefully the weather holds !

What happened peeps any update? I've had lots of problem with mine, the joy of buying second hand. Managed to fit it all by my self which I'm happy about learned a lot , but it's been headache inducing. Just a few bits to finish of. Will post proper pics when I get my rotor alloys back on.

Nice 18 or 19? Yours looks a tiny bit lower. Did you change ur rear shocks? Are u running Sleeve bags vs Bellow bags?

19" and yeah, uprated shocks with cur bracket and slam series below bags

Quick update after a while lol, did managed to get mine all fitted, Ive not had a chance to take any nice pics because i havnt washed her.

Has anyone had any power loss/ Lag issues after fitting bags? i dont know if its just me but it takes ages for my turbo to come in after fitting them or maybe its just me.

Still need to tidy up the rear of the car too

Hopefully weekend will be nice so i can upload some stuff

Lovely you've got the new controller as well. Need to step up on ur wheel game though . No turbo lag over here, then again I'm driving slower than ever.

this is mine on 18s, i still am using my old shocks of fk coilovers, did you guys use airlift shocks? or recommend any other brand? just heard airlift go really low so when i want to tuck in the future by smaller J wheels, il be able to go much lower, as thats the max on fk shocks :/

Clean what's the spec on those wheels? I'm still using OEM shocks, plan to upgrade when they go. Airlift shocks apparently don't have much lift, I hear good things about koni sports. Today I trimmed the arches and removed the bump stop, I'm tucking (19'' et35 225 tyres) front and back a little anyway. Front from the highest arch lining to ground is 55cm and rear is 56.

Ah nice! I havent done any arch trimming, just taken that one screw that scrapes! Mine is:
Front: 8J et34 with 15mm adaptor - tyre 205/35/18
Rear: 9J et40 with 15mm adaptor and tyres 215/35/18

Im planning to get 19" rotors soon tho so it tucks in and laying frame hopefully

What arch trimming did you do? I need to mine very soon! Not a clue where to start hahaha

I have an amazing place for where my controller is going, will get pictures when I've finished it

Im running standard shocks, is there a bump stop on them? Ive not done any arch trimming but then again i haven't put on my other wheels yet

Yes there is a bump stop and only arch work that needs doing is a bolt taking out of each arch liner i think..
