hi everyone ive been gone for a while but im back lol and in need of advice

I want an S3 again that i can keep and not sell ever again preferably a manual preferably ive seen a couple 2009 fully loaded sunroof etc but its on 92k miles it has full audi history no modifications or anything but it needs rocker cover as seeping oil a little oil cap seal is leaking oil pcv valve not been changed needs diverter valve changing to rev G, has had haldex serviced two times cambelt etc has been done has just passed MOT he wants £11k for it whats everyones views on price etc for this car ?
Just weiry of mileage

Heres my car history so far

First some fiat thing - awful hated it lol but was first car

2nd car bmw 116i m6 replica alloys custom exhaust intake stage 1 map 122bhp was too slow lol sold it!

3rd car everyone knows about my pride and joy A3 2.0tdi hybrid turbo air ride etc etc 40+ sets of wheels on it list is continous sold it !

Then bought an S3 8P2 stage 2+ piston ring scored block rebuild block and sold it still made £500 after repair so it pulled through i guess owner still messages me says hes very happy with it

Then went to the auction bought a 2010 s3 8p3 s tronic was stage 2+ Presume it was apr tuned due to stickers and apr pump etc etc had few issues - cam follower manifold flaps pcv valve diverter valve had them all sorted s tronic box was a massive issue had to drain oil etc change everything and gearbox ran smooth so did car it ran 368bhp on dyno was lovely but wanted to buy a house so i sold it made good money as it went cheap in the auction
Wasnt selling it or anything to make money but profit is always good i guess

Then got my first investment property blah blah blah wont bore you its a car forum lol

Bought an A5 3.0tdi manual didnt like it so thought ill get it mapped did the clutch still didnt like it much was a nice car big spec etc etc, took a part ex with a bmw 320d 2006 hated that even more due to rwd and so low on power but i managed to sell it thank god

I started looking for another car i picked up a golf gti edition 30 did all stage 2+ work was brilliant car but any damp roads it was awful for traction but dry weather it was good then it snowed I got stuck it wasnt fun so two days ago it sold heres a picture of it i guess a few people must have seen it on ebay sold it to a friend as he loved it from the day i bought it

Why not? Mine an 09 and at 90k now and it's been on stage 1 for about 20k. Never had any major problems with mine so long as everything is serviced correctly and parts replaced then I don't see any reason not to.

Only thing I can think of is a wheel bearing which failed. The rest is service items and wear and tear.

Higher mileage is nothing on a modern car so long as it's been looked after well.

Agreed if you intend to keep it and by the looks of it you like tuning cars so if it's gonna be a keeper I imagine you will end up forging the engine anyway, I would just service it straight away, and if it needs new diverter valve etc put gfb dv+ on and maybe pcv delete

15k a year is most probably motorway mileage, and dont bother with the rev g diverter valve, everyone and his dog is fitting the GFB DV+
Things to watch is oil sump pick up pipe can block and starve the bottom end, especially on long life service intervals, and I believe on your engine that the cam chain side of your engine is prone the out of alignment and can blow and engine if the cam chain tensioner is not replaced, which is a big job and audi are aware and some engines that blew were done without question and some out of warranty cars were done on good will gestures.apart from the usual haldex issues you should be fine.

Mine's up to 82k miles now,and 40k of that at Stg3 or more.

If it's serviced regularly,has FSH etc,then they're solid cars.

Agreed on the cam chain had mine done for peace of mind the parts are not to bad got them from Mike on here I believe it's the cam adjuster that is the really expensive part (rare it needs replacing)
Also had my sump off and cleaned it was truly disgusting !! Pick up pipe was done at the same time another fairly cheap part but with most things ots the labour that costs , car has done 74K had it all done for peace of mind

Thats fine then, im after the facelift with the CDL engine, wont be forging anything i done think Just want a relible car with good performance ive got a brand new milltek in the garage and autotech HPFP fitted to a standard pump all i need is a intake Rs4 return valve and clutch then stage 2+ is around the corner

I reckon you'll be ok with 90k. on the clock. You seem handy with the spanners :wrench: judging by your car history and fixing the problems.

Yeah i thought that mileage is nothing but a number ive seen a couple 90K ones and a few 80k but obviously lower the mileage higher the price gets, i have a few tuning parts in the garage but quite a few have intakes or milltek exhaust or some sort of modifications already done which is good too i guess,

i dont know about being good with spanners mate i know what a spanner is being good at using it im not so sure I usually withe r break the car then fix it and make it really good or i buy it broken make it worse then fix it by spending loads on it

You did'nt like a mapped Audi A5? Really? how come?

If I was looking to buy I'd rip your hand off for yours
