Well thought id post up my first proper thread on here. After searching the net for some bits for my new cab I soon realised there really isnt much out there off the shelf for them.

After a bit of research, measuring and a spot of luck I ordered up some CSR side skirt that are surposed to only fit the saloon models. (approx £120)

 35

They arrived in unpainted black and are made from fibreglass.

Only mods I had to do was to cut the tabs off each end so they they sit flush with the side skirts of the cab and screw on with a touch of silicone to seal them in place.

I have colour coded them to the silver trim and have to say I really like them. And a hell of alot better looking than anything else side skirt wise for these.

Small

Anyway may be useful info for fellow cab owners on here to have :)

Great little write up. The skirts are actually better than I thought. Nice one :)

P.s. The car is looking so clean! (last pic)

No worries and thank you. Just got to have a go at fitting the rdx lower bumper splitter now. :)

Looking forward to seeing what the RDX splitter will look like on your Cabriolet. Ive seen various pics on but it doesn't do it justice.
Hope it goes well.:icon thumright:

The skirts look great something I will do in the near future.

Yeh a fair few people have gone and done this now. Just glad to have helped the cabby community out by sharing it as an alternative the some of the horrible skirts for these on the market at the moment. :)

Looks spot-on! I'll be doing the same. I have also been looking for a decent skirt for my cabriolet and I totally agree that they look far better than the off the shelf skirts on the market.
I presume that they are fibreglass? I may go for the abs plastic ones as my wife (who loves having mystery accidents that she doesn't admit to) is very likely to steal it at every opportunity when I've finished pimping it.
Saying that though I recon they may also look nice wrapped in carbon with a complimentary cupra lip, also wrapped? What do you recon?

Just thought i'd jump in and offer my opinion...

Yeah, T.oldakers car looks nice! He's got Merc SLR wheels too currently. looks sportier.
The only side skirts worth getting for the A4 Cabrio are what T.Oldaker has above. By a company called 'RDX'..they look decent.

Carbon fibre 'wrapped' would look nice but obviously if the rest of the cars 'theme' is Carbon Fibre, like cupra splitter, and other de-chroming options. Im getting My Cupra R splitter fitted soon with B7 Cabrio S line valance. All spray painted gloss black including grills.

Do take some snaps when you've done it pal.

I will, but don't hold your breath as I've got a lot to do to it.

With regards to the cupra lip. I wrapped the central part of the lip in silver carbon fibre as well as the fog surrounds on my black b7 s-line avant, I'll see if I can find some pics if you want to see what it looked like.

Yeah, you and me the same!

Yes definitely if you are able too please. Always like to see a good cupra R install. Despite it being 'out of fashion' so to speak, I still like the idea of it. Gives the b6 a more aggressive look which is what I'm after.

Loving these skirts, and will order some myself. not sure on the cupra lip myself, sits too far back. Quite like the RDX front spoiler that @t.oldaker has, but not 100% sure on it, want to see more pics of one. not too sure if on the way it follows the original lines of the bumper.

@DrStrange you're fitting the b7 S line cabrio valance? is that for the rear? I want the s4 for quad pipes fitted. think it looks much better with quad pipes.

Just got some pressed metal plates today too, and waiting for the quattro number plate surrounds... got the rdx boot spoiler lip to fit and paint soon too... so much to do!!!

Yes they really are nice. They have grown on me to be fair as they are not too 'in your face'.. quite a subtle side skirt.

Yes, its the rear B7 s-line Cabrio valance in platinum grey but will be sprayed gloss black to match all my de-chroming which are also gloss black.
The quad S4 B7 valance is very nice. I kind of associate, quad tip exhausts with cars over 300bhp but you could be tuning yours :p

Pics to come soon :)

My cab came with over 300bhp, it came with the v8 up top... Tis a S4 :grinning:.

This is the only thing I like about the b7 cab s4 is the exhaust, so will be changing to the quad exhaust.

Also, I feel the s4 exhaust doesn't give as much v8 sound that I would like, hence going for an exhaust that will. Only catback, but I just need more sound (and 4 exhuast tips, and the valance, and the side skirts, and the boot lip fitted and then painted, and my wheels to be refurbed. OK I need a lot!!)

Ah-ha!! That would make perfect sense now! You have the V8 beast. In which case..definitely go for it.

You know how to obtain one right? Your local TPS will sort you out. Say youre a business and after best prices. :) This will transform the look! It will look great.

Great list you've got planned. Yeah the s4 stock is quite tamed. You should definitely go for the NON resonated Cat back at the very least. If it where me, i'd de-cat that monster and watch the heads turn as you cruise down the street haha.

Haha cheers guys yeh they are fibreglass construction but fairly solid tbh just have to be careful you don't catch them when you get in and out the car.

These skirts have grown on me massively.

A company in the US rebrands them and sell them for literally double.

They are CSR side skirts. The company in the US calls them 'Relak'.

As usual, nice look T.Oldaker

Looks lovely! Been tempted to get some of those for my b6 for a while... although my car's been in bits for a while so I should probably sort that first haha.

Boy do some of these B6's and B7's look awesome with them on..

My opinion is not to over kill it though..either CSR or S4 blades. Not both!
