So Currently I'm running stock front and rear speakers straight from a JVC HU with a 12" jvc sub with a 2 channel pioneer amp. the bose as been removed.

I'm going to be upgrading most things with Ground Zero Speakers, Subs, and amp/s.

Will it work if i run the 5"(13cm) speakers from the headunit and the rear 6.5" speakers and 2x 12" subs with a 4 channel amp in the boot??


Also Im car is the old 1999 1.9 tdi 8L a3 with the single din HU, is there any retro fit to have a double din?

no reason it won't work but Id put the effort into the fronts, forget about the rears and do the sub.

4ch amp for fronts and sub, rears off HU if you really want them.

how exactly would I do that, as at the moment the rear speakers don't work only the front???

I guess you'd have to run speaker cables back there from the HU. Personally I wouldn't bother and spend the money on better fronts and better installation/sound deadening etc at the front.
