Just sat and spent most of my lunch reading through the whole thread, thought some of the earlier pictures look familiar, where in Glasgow you from?
Loved the pre-facelift, have you any details on the grille? it's one part of mine I absolutely hate!
Do you know what you'll replace it with?
Answered your thread mate...
Eyes set on an Evo X next... We'll see though, I want a White 1 and they are rare
Really enjoyed the read, and as we know all good things come to an end! A nice car for anyone in the market for a S3.
It's been a pleasure to read your build thread mate...it's so hard knowing everything you've done I pretty much wanted do exact same to mine so now need go back to drawing board And also if knew was putting back standard I woulda had some parts off you lol I have a few Qs tho if don't mind em dropping you a email mate
An Evo?! Come on you can do better than that surely!
I think an Evo's a great idea. It will be a completley different world from the 2.0tfsi.
Seeing as you've had Audi's for a while, i imagine it to be pretty refreshing
Yeah exactly mate... I wanted to stick with awd too, and apart from the Golf R which is the exact same as the 3 with different clothes on, it didn't really leave me many options on my budget.. Looking for a total refresh, as all my mates have Audis too.. S3, RS3 and RS7 so if I feel sentimental can always steal theirs for the day.. The Evo is really a toy too.. I have a van daily, so the car sits there most of the time.. I've only done 7.5k in 1.5yrs..
The Golf R does look a nice place to be, but still not as nice as the Audi equivalent I don't think. The Evo will be so much more fun, I don't even think you'll be able to remember what an Audi even is hahahah
Considering the mileage you do, I think your choice is tame unless your really planning on unleashing the beast hahahah.
Are you planning on a FQ model ?
P.S your old oil caps going strong
Family Wagon.............................. Sounds like an S5 Sportback will be on the cards, you won't be away long Jacko.
Good luck with the Evo, sounds like an awesome project mate.

I agree with you, since having 4wd I don't think I'll ever go back to 2wd. Nice choice with the Evo, have you ever driven one? The interior will feel dated but they are absolute beasts and you'll be grinning everytime you get out of it.
Prices for them seem to have rocketted over the last 5 years though.
