Jackos Bluey Mk2.. Build/progress Thread.. Pic Heavy!

Well probably my last update on this thread as the car has been stripped back to standard as my love affair with 8Ps comes to an end... 6yrs i've been in 8Ps getting my 1st on 10th Jan 2010, I need a change...

I'll upload some pics of the car, how it was before the end, and how it is now.. Been a pleasure and i'm sure i'll still be floating around somewhere from time to time..

Just sat and spent most of my lunch reading through the whole thread, thought some of the earlier pictures look familiar, where in Glasgow you from?

Loved the pre-facelift, have you any details on the grille? it's one part of mine I absolutely hate!

Do you know what you'll replace it with?

Answered your thread mate...

Eyes set on an Evo X next... We'll see though, I want a White 1 and they are rare

Cheers mate I'll have a look, did a photoshoot of a pearlescent white Evo X and they really do look the nuts.

I'd of said there was one for sale at Jim Reid up this way, but someone just tried to steal it at the weekend!

Really enjoyed the read, and as we know all good things come to an end! A nice car for anyone in the market for a S3.

Anytime mate cheers.. Just drop me a pm when needed

An Evo?! Come on you can do better than that surely!

Not with the plans I have for it, or my initial budget either... Will be pretty sweet hopefully and as said, looking for something completely different and looking forward to tackling something I know completely nothing about.

I think an Evo's a great idea. It will be a completley different world from the 2.0tfsi.

Seeing as you've had Audi's for a while, i imagine it to be pretty refreshing :D

Yeah exactly mate... I wanted to stick with awd too, and apart from the Golf R which is the exact same as the 3 with different clothes on, it didn't really leave me many options on my budget.. Looking for a total refresh, as all my mates have Audis too.. S3, RS3 and RS7 so if I feel sentimental can always steal theirs for the day.. The Evo is really a toy too.. I have a van daily, so the car sits there most of the time.. I've only done 7.5k in 1.5yrs..

The Golf R does look a nice place to be, but still not as nice as the Audi equivalent I don't think. The Evo will be so much more fun, I don't even think you'll be able to remember what an Audi even is hahahah

Considering the mileage you do, I think your choice is tame unless your really planning on unleashing the beast hahahah.

Are you planning on a FQ model ?

P.S your old oil caps going strong ;)

Its gona be a long term project I think.. I don't see me getting another car after that, apart from a family wagon... Initially the plan is to take it to 400hp, then look into taking it to 500hp... It'll just be what I can get a hold of and work with it from there, as long as its White ha... They are pretty rare on the road too, the last model of a generation and I can't go throughout life without owning an Evo, especially for a car guy

Family Wagon.............................. Sounds like an S5 Sportback will be on the cards, you won't be away long Jacko.
Good luck with the Evo, sounds like an awesome project mate.

I agree with you, since having 4wd I don't think I'll ever go back to 2wd. Nice choice with the Evo, have you ever driven one? The interior will feel dated but they are absolute beasts and you'll be grinning everytime you get out of it.

Prices for them seem to have rocketted over the last 5 years though.

Hey John, long time no speak! Ha aye the family wagon wont be for a while yet... Looking forward to tackling something completely new for a change... 6yrs same car is a bit long for me.. I've held out well with the 8Ps

No I haven't as yet mate.. Been a passenger in them tho, can remember being stuck to the side of the car as the driver went round an L shaped bend at 50 superglued to the road haha... I will be making a point however in the near future though.. Just to confirm 100% thats what I want... Seen a White 1 in town bout 6 months ago tho and couldn't take my eyes off the thing, and i'm very rarely like that with cars these days, so knew then I wanted to give it a bash.. Just need to hold out and find the right one... I've joined the MLR and will get the word out i'm looking for a decent white 1...

I'll be making a nice and cleaned big powered monster hopefully :)

Fair enough, guess you have access to an Audi if you need...I just can't see myself going back to Jap cars if I can avoid it...
