Hi guys.

Recently enabled the access of the hidden green menu on my B8 with 2G mmi and was really excited. However upon looking through many forums for the changes that I can do, I can only find information for 3G models. I daren't go clicking random options to see what happens so was wondering if anyone on here has a link to a page/site with a walk through on the mods I can do.

I found this site liked on here which is very good: http://www.audienthusiasts.com/VagCom.html however I'm not convinced it is for 2G models as the green screen I have doesn't have the same options as the ones shown in the pictures.

Thanks in advance :)

What are you wanting to achieve by enabling the hidden menu?

I read a lot of the 3G functions and assumed the same things could be achieved on the 2G, I may be completely wrong of course. The visual representation for the reversing sensor was something I was very keen on, but generally was just interested to see a list of what was available ( if such a list exists )

Visual lines for PDC is done through VCDS and only if your controller supports the function.

MMI 2G was fitted to many cars, there are various lists online for other models which will apply to yours.

Fair enough, I have been hunting through a lot of forums and good old google and can only seem to find lists of the menu itself. In other words people have just typed out exactly what is written in the menu which is no good to man nor beast. Unfortunately i can't seem to find a list of mods that can be done and a walk through of the menu options to enable it.

Theres not much really you can do, enable battery meter, change the splash screen (which can be done through VCDS anyway).

You should be leaving it alone, bad things can happen if you press the wrong thing, that's why it's disabled as default.

Ahh right I thought there was a lot more that could be done and didn't realise it was so limited. I shall be leaving it alone then. I knew it would all end badly if I started clicking random things, hence hunting around for a walkthrough. Thanks
