RS3 8V Orders List

Why is it all so slow do you think? I realize numbers aren't supposed to be limited but they don't seem to be building them that quick!

TX.

No idea ?

The RS3 has certainly seen an unpresidented interest that is for sure and this has resulted in an initial surge of orders - even higher than Audi anticiapted I suspect.

I'm sure lead times will reduce eventually, but until they have got over the extended waiting list, I can't see waiting times reducing any time soon.

Had a smile on my face all day yesterday thinking about this

Wouldn't worry, moving to prep does not mean it's going to be built any quicker. It will still be built on the date shown. Mine went into prep about 2 weeks before its build date

I've asked to put the carbon trim in mine see what they come back with

You chaps will love it! All this cobblers from the S3 brigade about it not being worth the difference is just nuts.

What you mean the RS actually is worth the premium over the S after all :)

Nice one :)

O/T but I had a BMW pull in behind me today at a r/bout, after a couple of seconds it got a lot louder which prompted me to look at it again. Turns out to be a M3 or a M4 so they must have a sport button or something as it went from quiet to loud! So of course I put the RS3 in dynamic just to drown him out ;) I pulled out as another car was coming round so he couldn't follow me and he turned off on a different road so we couldn't "test" our cars ;)

Where are you @monopole and more importantly has your RS3 arrived?!

TX.

He left this forum but is active on another now. His Rs3 arrived but we've only had collection pictures so far because I don't think he has stopped driving it since picking it up haha!

It looks incredible

Hey guys I'm new to this forum. I've ordered my RS3 and initially told March but now told build week is 51 2015 (Dec 14). I can't check status online from site for some reason but dealer checked and told me it's still build week 51 and status:"with production order".
How long do you guys reckon it would take for mine to come (waiting anxiously)? How long has it taken people to get their cars?

Welcome!

I would say mid Jan for your car

I was hoping before the new year so I can make more noise than the new year fireworks haha

That fits.. mine is BW 14 Dec same as abs...and they reckon in UK mid Jan (Xmas breaks etc) Then need to sort out tracker, detailing maybe. 1 March seems to be getting closer.

I am away for a couple of weeks in February and it doesn't make sense to register on 20 February..

It might as well sit with Audi rather than losing me £1k (approx)

Had a call form the dealers today to say may car had been delivered. :yahoo:
Now have to wait 3 months and 1 day before collect it and drive it.:sob:

I know people have their reasons but that is excessively long to wait for it! As soon as I saw mine at the dealer I was pushing for it to get prepped!!

I'll probably feel the same and want my car as soon as I see it.
Originally the car was supposed to be built in February so I based my budget on accessing my finances around that time.
Now it just means I'm forced to wait until then.

Are you crazy?!?! I am sat here waiting and mine won't be delivered until mid-march, but I'd take mine right now ! What on earth... lets just swap cars.

Mines told me they will hold it at the port and call it so it can be registered for 1st March

To be fair makes little difference in price, it's only relevant if you sell sooner rather then later because the year will be same and there's no changes to car in those couple months. Plus you waited so long and it's just waiting at docks

Are you in the Uk? If so suggest you check the trade guides. You will be shocked by the difference..

I don't really use trade guides and go on auto trader. It also depends if you got lease, finance or pcp cause if your going to just hand car back after 2/3years it makes no difference

I'm paying cash and yes it does matter. Even on PCP if you sell before the end of the 2/3/4 year term you will find a 2016(16 plate) will be worth more than a 2016 (65 plate).. stupid I know but t's a fact assuming all else is equal.

Do people just hand back a car ??? Surely if you have equity in the car you sell and pay off finance company so in that case also value does matter!

And this is exactly why having a date on the number plate is stupid! In Poland this is not the case, and better for it...!

Depends how long you plan to keep the car for. Mine's a keeper...

I agree absolutely. But in the UK playing the game has significant financial benefits!
No benefits really.....just spend spend that what i say life too short to worry about what number plate you have for goodness sake.
