Not always, worth checking with the dealer and asking. It can even bring it forward! I added hold assist and my BW came forward
 
Well I cannot collect today :-( Documents are still in transit so cannot register it. Looks like Monday or Tuesday now...

Still went and had another look around it. Impatient now!!!

Awesone mate! What were you before on it came forward?

Im still in shock that its come forward so much! Had come to the realisation that i wouldn't be getting the car until April now its arriving in Jan! Cant ****** wait now! :D

..maybe I should look back over the pages but cba. haha
 
I ordered end Jun 15 and got it early Nov 15 so about 4 months wait. Mine was a cancelled order though so already in the system eg probably quicker than most others.

Ordered two weeks ago, original build week 11, then 16, now 8. Still unconfirmed.

Cool! Im going to be in a similar position once mine arrives. Working it out mine should hopefully arrive around end of Jan. Do i then hold off and wait 4 weeks knowing its sitting there or just pick it up? Id love to get it on a '16 plate, but would it really matter as my private plates will be going on straight away anyway!! Hmmm decisions decisions....

Not a chance I'd wait another month for the car to get it on a 16 plate, especially when it will be a 2016 car anyway !
 
Although its good news for those of us that are impatient I wonder if improved availability means our cars will become less exclusive/desireable ? I was quite attracted to the long wait and potential high resale values after a short ownership but if people are only waiting 3-4 months for a new build then those willing to pay a premium for your car part used may diminish. Oh well probably have to keep it a bit longer and haggle a bit harder before handing over the balance due upon collection.

Increased availability always equals higher discounts :)
 
I don't think we're quite at that stage yet! Hopefully!

Ive already been waiting 4 months, another 3 weeks until build, then probably another 6 until delivery. So in total just over 6 months!

Saying that there are a few cases of quick order to delivery times, but they are rare.
 
Imho the price will ensure reasonable exclusivity! There are only about 800 previous versions in the UK AFAIK which is pretty low?

Sorry if I have sent this previously. tried to copy a screenshot in and failed miserably

I had an initial date of the 14th December it moved to 7th December about a week ago
It has been showing the text below for about a week
"Your RS 3 Sportback will begin construction on ${ORDER.firstDayOfBuildWeek}"

Anybody else getting this
 
Was it limited last time though or did they just not make that many? Afaik each Audi dealer can only sell six RS3's at the most. I've no idea how many dealers there are in the UK although even if it were 150 that's only 900 cars in the UK as a max?

I'm sure it was limited last time.

Initial batch of 500 then another limited run.

Availability of the new Rs3 certainly feels restricted, even if it's not officially.

The dealer I visited today said they get monthly allocations, and each time this particular dealer has had more demand than that allocated number...
 
I see they have updated the layout of the tracker. Looks like an improvement............Unlike my BW :-(

Edit: Seems to be a more accurate photo now with the red callipers now showing.

Edit: Options listed are now much more accurate also. Dammit they've taken my front ceramics off!

Think you may need to push. My original order (early September) now showing 11 April, swapped to dealer slot and now 14 December. No pictures of my order just Audi rings???

Had another look this morning. For some reason "Front Disc Brakes" is listed under Audio and Communication.

There are some other strange entries like "front Shock Absorption" Wonder what I get on the back?

Yeah ... I just have this awful feeling that when I do eventually see an allocated build slot, it will be somethiing crazy like May or June - now that would be gutting.

In the meantime, there is always blind hope, whilst ever a build date is not listed :)
