8P S3 to 8V S3

After having fun seeing how much I could get the price down I'm finally happy with the deal and should have my new car next weekend

The car was a cancelled order so I couldn't change the spec but for what I paid i'm very happy.

S3 3d s-tronic, Sepang Blue, black styling pack, comfort pack and privacy pack.

I guess my only concern is how the 8 speaker system will sound compared to the Bose in my current 8P

Time to book the remap

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of discount did you get? I'm thinking of going brand new next year and wondered what people can get.

Most get between 10-12%.

I got offered 11.8% on a S3 saloon to a built spec a few months back, Discounts vary hugely from dealer to dealer and how they are doing on their monthly, and quarter figures.

They also differ between the north and south of the border the maximum you will get up here Scotland was 8-9% l got 10-5% only because of my son sells them.
Plus the discounts won't be as high on a low spec car as they would a high spec one

The B&O knocks the 8P BOSE into a cocked hat, not sure how the standard Audi system compares?
Also be aware that April 2015-on ECUs haven't yet been cracked by the tuners. My impatience means I went for an MTM M-Cantronic box and had it fitted this morning. So far so wow!
This car was a big jump up in every area from my mapped 8P S3 - hopefully you'll be equally as chuffed.

Cheers for all the replies, I don't think I ticked email me of new replies so until today I knew nothing of them.

I spoke to Revo before I bought the car but my local tuner who remapped my 8P said he doesn't know why they are having issues as he has remapped a few nearly new Golf Rs and S3s. If he is wrong at least there are other options.

Discount wise I got 7% off the car and the options for free but I haven't worked out the exact percentage but I'm guessing around 10 - 12%. We only started talking last Tuesday and I'm picking the car up tomorrow

They've just sent me some teaser pics. I can't wait!

I'm hoping the sound system is ok as I really don't want to start messing with a brand new car

The weather was shocking, even drove past a car with a tree on top of it (not ideal when you've only done 5 miles in your new S3)

The car is fantastic, really really happy. I think 95% of the car so much better (turn-in, engine, gearbox, handling.....)

A few moans but nothing that is a problem, smaller mirrors look better but I'm missing the extra visibility, the MMI screen is really low resolution compared to my 8P3 and why doesn't it use it to show reserve sensors and car stats? Seems crazy that bottom of the range BMWs do and an S model doesn't. I'm missing the space to put my wallet and various other bits out of sight but I'm sure I'll sort all that over time. I can also see what everyone means about the keyless option being a must, feels wrong using an old style key to start it.

The guy I bought my 8P off said the exact same thing about his 8V. You could always take the hi-vis vest out of the compartment under the rear bench and see if they go in there?

I think the car I test drove had the technology pack which comes with a higher resolution screen, it isn't a big deal just on a 2015 is it really that expensive to have 800 x 480 or 1280 x 720. Most 5 inch phones are well over 720p and most 1080p - 1440p.

Good idea on the rear bench, I saw that in the manual last night

I am really happy just seemed easier to list the few moans over everything I like

Yeah you will, like you if you add a lot of optional equipment, dealer's make a lot of money on high specced car's and l mean a lot

hi mate. i had two s3 8p with bose and i didnt think it was that great the audi 8speakers is quite a good system in my opinion ive had two demo cars my 8v s3 is arriving next week i had one demo car with b+o system which was wicked.

well done enjoy the car!

The 8 speaker system isn't bad, doesn't have quite the quality of the Bose but the balance is better. Enjoying the exhaust note more than music anyway
