Hi
I have recently fitted a mfsw and cruise to my a4 b7 to go along with my rns-e and audi bluetooth, everything on the mfsw works fine except the mode button, when its pressed i beleive it should show my phone book and radio information on the dis but it does nothing, is there anything that needs to be done to enable this feature, both scroll wheels work as should, and the voice feature also works (apart from the mic not being wired into the rns-e yet) as it comes wit with all the diffrent help options for radio, nav, phone ect after it says pardon.
we beleive evetything is coded correctly but i didnt personaly code it myself

Any advice would be great

Get an autoscan of your car and we can digest from that what has been coded and anything that's been forgotten.

Hi buddy what was the part number of the control module you used ?
Did you even have to change the module ?

What parts did you use for the conversion ?

I'm doing this myself and have the mfsw , airbag wiring harness for the mfsw and just can't seem to get it to work.

Don't mean to hijack your post mate just wondering

Thanks a lot Dan

Have you coded all 3 components ?
Tel 77
Nav 36
Steering 17
Will all need coding correctly

My auto electrician has tried be no luck have code 00466 control module for steering column electronics ( j527 ) no communication

Like I said I have the steering wheels with multi function , airbag loom and the control module with this part number , not really sure why it ain't working unless I need to go to Audi to get it coded ? Been told this module should work

Thanks for reply if it was for me lol

The module you have is the correct highline module
Yes it will Deffo require coding with vcds

I've looked at my slip ring today and it's a 6 pin one am I right in saying I need the 12 pin slip ring for all this to mesh together and work ? If I do is there another wiring harness I need as well for it to work or will those extra pins be in the L peice on the back that goes into the module? Sorry for the million questions mate !!

Thanks again

Hi buddy I'm getting mine tomorrow from Nirro they are a Vag breakers in barking Essex they send too ! I've delt with them before and they are clued up !

I'm paying £60 for my slip ring and I'm driving up to get it so if they send yours expect a little p&p

The part is genuine too , brand new genuine is over £230 which is a serious amount of £££

Would you like the part number of the slip ring you require ( 12 pin ) ?

Hope this helps

Dan

Hi,

I’ve just installed an RNS-E and KUFATEC 36431 Audi Basic Plus Bluetooth phone kit into my 2008 Audi A4 convertible. I live in England and with a European RNS-E.

I know that I need to code the RNS-E to the car via the VCDS but I am unsure what the correct codes should be for the RNS-E, multi functional steering wheel and instrument display. Currently the sat Nav instructions do not appear in the instrument cluster and neither the mode or voice control buttons on the multi functional steering wheel work. What does work are both the selection wheels on the steering wheel for volume and track change and when using the phone, the DIS displays phone.

Using the VCDS, the current stored codes are as follows:

Steering wheel 02011
Instrument 0006411 with the number currently stored in the adaption for channel 62 being 17
Radio 0301713

From what I have read in various forums, I believe I need to change the numbers to the following:

Steering wheel 03011
Instrument adaption channel 62 to 21
Radio 0301717

Can someone please validate the correct codes for me please as I think I’ve read every forum page and have not been able to determine the right codes.

Cheers
