How much do Audi charge for the Supercharger belt change at 57,000 miles/6 years?

Are indys much cheaper?

I'm waiting for a dealer quote at the moment. Where did you see the requirement for a change at 57k?

Time for stage 1+:)

So Guildford audi are doing mine today for £159. I also found out that the uk recommended interval for the SC belt is 80k miles.

Cheaper than i was expecting so that's good. Just in the market for a S4 at the moment and just getting prices for extra stuff like the Supercharger belt and S-tronic oil change etc as my manual turbo doesn't have any of this.

I found a picture of the service schedule which stated 57,000 miles or 6 years but can't find it anywhere, but will post if i come across it again.

Audi quoted me £299 to do both belts a fortnight ago, when it was in for a totally unrelated fault.

If they had checked the belts condition, they would have seen both were brand new this summer, and I changed them myself for under £40.

It is a bumper off job so have the aux belt done at the same time, false economy otherwise.

I had no idea the belt was a service part? Never occurred to me. I'm on 81k. Luckily I have a day off tomorrow so am going to go in and ask about it - My S Tronic fluid needs a change soon too, so will combine the 2. (And the AUX belt Skard!)

Your dealership most likely doesn't realise either. It is not in my original 2011 service schedule. However, it has always been a listed item for north American s4's at 75k miles.

At first when I showed my SA this he said audi does not recommend an interval in the UK. However after making some further enquiries he confirmed it's an advisory at 80k miles.

Either way, I was going to have it done with my next service. If you want more info give guildford audi a call.

Assume it's a rubber belt and therefore has a time element too? I guess that's the 6 years? I only ask as I rarely make the mileage quotes for these things. Was doing the cambelt on my B7 at 4 year intervals.

At least a SC belt failure shouldn't cause serious damage should it?

Any belt than snaps can cause serious damage, depending what it smacks with impact.

With the way the belts are on an S4, either belt snapping will likely take the other out so the battery is gonna go flat sharply at least

I meant in comparison to cars like my old B5 S4 where the belt was driving the cams.
