The dear old cooking sherry 1.9 PD tdi saloon has been running like a dream for a year or so, we have covered some miles together and done some continental trips never missing a beat.

in the last couple of weeks she has developed a habit of dropping into limp mode when under power up an incline. VCDS says 17964 'charge pressure control: negative deviation'

we did evilscotsman's mr muscle treatment on Sunday and when boosting seems to have improved the pull but hasn't stopped the dropping into limp mode.

Having read around the various google results I am getting the idea that it may be a vacuum leak to the egr. The EGR has also got a bit oily in the last few months - coincidental or linked somehow?

what does the forum think?

I've only got the lite version will it do that?

Try.

I think it lets you access the first few measuring blocks, but i cant remember how many it lets you into, or where the boost is.

Thanks for help - it turned out to be a split pipe on the vacuum line. Car goes like a (diesel) powered rocket again.
