So, after ordering in late January, 196 days later, Grover landed in Brisbane..!

2015 MY16 S3 Sedan - 6 speed manual, with Sports Performance Pack 1 (19" Star Wheels, B&O Sound, Leather with diamond stitching), Sunroof, Assistance Pack (includes Lane Assist, Radar Cruise Control, all that stuff..)

Wrapped with it...! Had a nice 1,000km drive back yesterday from Brisbane back to Sydney!

You'll be joining a VERY select bunch of owners down in OZ with the S3 - I can only speak as a humble A3 owner but I love my car and I'm sure you will be amazed by yours too.

That is one amazing-looking car, congrats. I never get bored of seeing sepang blue, it's a great colour.

Congratz mate car looks great, good colour choice

Thanks guys - coming from a 2011 WRX is certainly an upgrade! You guys are lucky to live so close to Germany/Hungary - mine was on a boat for 41 days in transit!

FYI - "wrapped with it" - never thought it was aussie slang, but, means stoked with it, really happy with it, etc... The things us aussies say eh?

Congratulations! Looks very nice. How are you finding the performance after your WRX?
I came from 8 years of WRX'ness. The S3 is definitely more mental but, I haven't driven in winter yet. My WRX could still be driven mad in winter so, will have to see what the S3 brings.

It's way more refined. Power delivery is much nicer too - more low end. Didn't really see the power in the WRX till 3,000+ rpm. The S3 pulls really good from less than 2,000rpm!

Its also way more economical - Drove from Yatala (just south of Brisbane, Australia) to Taree (290km North of Sydney) - 585km - in the WRX, the fuel light would be on, with the range-to-empty filled with - - - km meaning, better find a servo real quick or you'll be pushin' it... whereas the S3 - at this stage, with less than 1,000km on the clock - still had 180km to empty on the range till empty. Power with fuel efficiency!

Interesting, in Australia, we have LCT - Luxury Car Tax - Its applied to all cars over $50,000 and you pay tax on every dollar above $50k - I paid $75k for my S3, thus usually $25k would be subject to tax, BUT, as the stated combined fuel consumption is at 7.0L/100km or less, it avoids it! LCT is only payable if the vehicle is above $50k and uses more than 7.0L/100km - nice to see I was able to avoid it :)
