Hi everyone I'm having problems with my clutch pedal occasionally sticking half way down having to put my foot underneath and lifting it back up has anyone experience of this?. I've had a look on various sites seems maybe a leaking slave cylinder or master cylinder? Is it a big job and pricey I've only had the car over a month so wil be taking it back to the garage as it's still under warranty.

I have seen the car about and it looks lovely.
Have you checked the levels under the bonnet to see if they are dropping. Are there any drips under the car?

Hi mate yeah can't see any leaks it'll be going into falcon performance to get sorted seems quite a big job to get to the thing gearbox out etc absolute nightmare seems a common thing to go on the RS4 its on 63k miles so suppose things may start to go wrong only had it a month tho so still under warranty thankfully can see a harsh repair bill :-(

sticky clutch pedal has been identified in other areas due to the Audi designed self Adjusting pressure plate.

if you spend money on the master or slave cylinders, there is a good chance you will be wasting your money.

I've just installed a new JHM lightweight clutch and flywheel in mine and the problem has completely disappeared

Cheers buddy will see what garage come up with seems a lot common than I thought had problems with my s3s 8p clutch slipping now the RS4s clutch issue why don't Audi VAG put stronger clutches in seems a bad trait :'(

Its all about mass production costs.
Saving £5 on one clutch is nothing but saving it on 20,000 cars is massive.
Have you looked on rs246.com to see if any info on there.

Hi Gav mate, it's been put into falcon performance on skippers Lane for clutch investigation definitely slave master cylinder leak fluids down and can see leak when car is in the air mate absolutely wounded so god knows when I'll get it bk I'm running around in a little Green tt haha

They are well recommended there, can they not help with exhausts too?

Probs mate I'll have a word with them see what they say seem to deal.with a lot of prestige cars and performance cars so must be in good hands

I had the same issue and had everything connected to the clutch pedal replaced and the problem is fixed. At the same time I also had the clutch and flywheel replaced. At the moment I have wasted another clutch (or actually the pressure group) but the pedal is still doing fine. I also read about a vacuum line and some kind of rubber part that might collapse under vaccuum because its too weak. Replacement of that could also be your solution. Sorry im not a mechanic and im not a native english speaker so I cant really explain everything into details but im sure you'll find more info if you google some of my info.
