I dont know if anyone can shed some light on this but i had my car remapped of saturday but im getting a big fluctuations in boost basicly through the whole rev range. Its as if im going on and off the accelerator quickly. My car was showing fault codes for evap canister and bank 1 lamda sensor. Would these really cause this problem as thats what the tuner is saying.
Thanks in advance

It really shouldn't be mapped with fault codes of this nature, he should of advised to fix these 1st then map, also slipping clutch maybe, but speculative from afar, fix the errors then see what happens.

Mines dsg so its not clutch slip. I was thinking that tbh, why didnt they tell me first. They said they cleared the codes and they stayed off when i called up complaining. I dont really want to be shelling out a few hundred pounds if it wont clear the problem tho

My older car did this was a ***** map I have made the video public let me know if you can view it ok

That is exactly what mine does but only really at full throttle, what did you to cure it? I went to a pretty reputable company so i thoight the map would be ok

It could be a rubbish remap, but any decent mapper would clear the faults, take it for a good run then test again before mapping & tbh most would look at fixing the issues 1st, which of course they didn't, but we weren't there so god knows what they were thinking.

Get them to take the map off, see how it runs without and get a proper scan and diagnostics to see where you stand.

I got a proper map from a reputable company, Badger5

Name the company who acted in this manner.

All i will say is i have read about this actual company portrayed in the same light before

AMD in Essex, that's very strange they did this, its not something I hear about them.

I wish i went with revo now. I know amd are a good company, had other work done by them maybe i am just unlucky with the map. It was 50/50 between the 2 and i went with this one mainly for the rolling road runs. I am going to ask for my money back and try to go revo.

im sure they will sort this out.. Revo isnt as good as they are a generic map, AMD do it on RR etc.. so i woul try and get it sorted with them

You need the lambda fixing before you do, and any other codes that flash up

The problem is for me is they are an hour and a half away and im worried im going to keep getting problems and having to go back and forth wasting my saturdays

Should this not have been done before i left as was told the boost was fluctuating after the first dyno but they said they sorted it

Yes, Bill started to run mine on the rollers and stopped, and said that's enough lol

I have it booked in on the 15th. Kinda want the money back and go revo now tho. Saves me a 3hr round trip

if you want to see if it does this on stock set up disconnect and reconnect your battery. this will reset the map back to stock settings. otherwise drive as is til the 15th.

It was fine when i took it in. No problems with boost at all

just a thought if you feel it's unsafe to drive. hope you get it sorted out so you can enjoy your remap

I would say its safe to drive just not to overtake safely. Cheers ill keep this thread posted after i go back. I was wondering if they uploaded the map for the old tfsi in stead of the new tsi that in mine

it did with my a3 8p stage 1 revo map. had to take it back to garage to get it turned back on. no cost of course as I already paid for remap.

Min started to do this on the 2.0TFSI (TSI moddel EA888)
It was a problem with the map. Tuner made me a new changed file and all was fixed)
Oh. That was on APR K04 turbo kit and sw. (Old version)
Now I am on sw v3.1 and have no problems. RR tomorrow.

Which company did you use for remap. And which software.

I would not have thought that you would go wrong with amd

Thats what i thought tbh. Used them before and have been good and heard good things
