Had my car in local garage and came out with a Nasty rattle on low rpm under 2k revs sounds like a chain rattle then after 2.5k revs when moving it goes no noise at all

was this posted on vortex as well? If i were u i found try to at least see from whats side of engine is coming from.
Nope not at all waiting for garage who is Audi only but have to wait til Thursday for space to look
if it is coming from cambelt side why dont u remove cover and do visual inspectiin. This will help u a lot. What could be is that tensioner lost its functiin and that tensioner pulley bracket is hitting hidro piston constanrly creating this noise. Just remover cover and report back.

Cam chain tensioner maybe?... difficult to tell from that as it sounds like an exhaust blow... same sorta noise it makes when the EGT probe pops out the back of the turbo hotside
