Hi all,
So today (Thursday 25th June) was the first day that the Goodwood Festival of Speed opened to the public under the 'Moving Motorshow'. I was lucky enough to get a couple of tickets last minute from @Sandra and Adam @Administrators who also managed to book me into an off road test drive of the brand new Audi Q7 courtesy of Audi UK - so many thanks to them for making this happen.
The weather was absolutely stunning and the hospitality of all the Audi staff on the day was great. My test drive was booked early in the morning and when my friend and I trekked up to the Audi experience area we were actually able to book a couple of other test drives such as the Q5/A6 all road - however the Q7 was already fully booked to pre-registered guests
The off road course was something totally different to my regular type of driving and I loved every minute of it - especially being able to get the car on 3 wheels on a steep curve There was also a simulator present where you put on goggles and placed in a bucket seat that moves whilst taking you on a taster of the Audi driving experience at Silverstone - very clever stuff indeed as when you move your head the screen in the goggles moves with you.
There were obviously many other Audi's across the Goodwood festival and so I'll let the pictures do the talking below.....
I honestly urge you to get yourself to this event at some point if you haven't been - it just seems to get better and better every year
Also remember to show your Audi Key at the Audi pavilion where you can have a sit down in the members enclosure and have a free cool drink brought to you.
Many thanks again to ASNs Sandra and Adam for making this happen - truly was an amazing experience and an epic day!
Chris
