Best uprated rods for s3 bam.

Hi guys, im having a full engine rebuild with hybrid, fmic,manifold, downpipe, decat etc etc, money money madness ! What's the best or best value conrods I should be adding and where to order from ? Ive heard integrated engineering are good ,any others that aren't as much money but do the same job?

as long as they are rifle drilled and have a pin hole fed small end you're good

Some rifle drilled rods have an oil ring in the little end which is thought to contribute to small end knock, (DM Forged and ZRP have these oil rings).

I.E. and Brute rods do not have the oil ring.

Have I.E. put their prices up?
I just checked and they were available for £420 posted from FR-tuning in Europe, now they are nearly £600 from the same seller.

Fr-tuning, I've had nothing but bad experiences with them, I was going to buy my rods from them, he emailed saying my card details were wrong, said try again and the price had rocketed, I asked why and he said they were now out of stock, this happened in the space of half an hour.

Just go to badger5, they're rifle drilled, their IE and they're worth the money

I'm not sure about the dollar to pound, but the dollar to euro has crippled us in ireland buying parts state side.

Even local car shops have stopped stcoking American cleaning products as a result.
 
Have ordered rods and injectors from badger5. So after my engine is finally rebuilt and fitted and has had hybrid ko4, v4 manifold,downpipe and decat, fmic etc. Will I have to get it custom mapped straight away? It currently has badger5 map on so could I leave it on a detuned map setting for the short period before I get it mapped again?
