hi guys, did a search but couldnt find any form of guide to removing the intake manifold, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers
Philip
What's your engine code mate?
Problem you have is its not unusual for a runner flap fault or throttle body alignment fault to spring up from nowhere, how you go about fixing it on the other hand is down to the mechanics experience. I'm not familiar with the 1.8tfsi but on the 2.0tfsi these faults can be solved by a simple throttle body alignment, or just a general clean up of said throttle body.Hi mate - I am suffering the same issue. Its the Inlet Manifold that you need to replace. NOT the throttle body. The part itself was revised after 2008 hence why the newer ones don't suffer the same issue. A new intake manifold from Audi is around £300.
I got stung by a 'VAG Specialist' who replaced the throttle body and it made no difference. I can stil drive the car however it has an intermittant hesitation on acceleration under heavy load. Makes little difference on day to day driving. Does show the P2015 when scanned though.
If you are local to Merseyside PM me I know somebody that may be able to help

These engines breath a lot of oil and sometimes over come the sensors and the Tb its self.
A general clean up and re adaption via VCDS usually solves 90% of these problems.

If it's still showing a fault it maybe down to the runner flap motor, seens you have replaced the throttle body already.Hi Craig - Do you mean a clean up of the manifold and re-alignment? My throttle body was replaced however its still showing the fault. To be honest it doesn't affect day to day driving, just has a little hesitation every now and then.
Do you think a forced induction terraclean would help?
Tbh it's not unusual to get that error code every now and again. I used to get it when I used to hammer mine, but I have since removed the intake flaps.18447/P2015/008213 - Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor (Bank 1): Implausible Signal - To be honest it doesn't really affect day to day driving. Its only when your pushing it/driving it hard it will sometimes hesitate for a second but will then return to normal.

If it logs it and won't reset, that's when you need to look a little further.
Mine use to come on and off, not its stuck on smd even after resetting it it comes back on after a bit.
