Here's to hoping the BBC are fined thousands of pounds for not delivering a full series. To punish the fans who are the licence fee payers, is an outrage and wrong, and in my opinion a cowardly action. Mismanagement of their major talent has been the achilles heel of the BBC for decades and now mismanagement of the responsibility they have to the licence payer and fans to broadcast these shows. They could be about to make the worst decision in the history of the corporation.

I think we should start an online petition for the dismissal of Danny Cohen (Director of BBC Television)

It's not very often one person gets bigger than their brand but I think Clarkson is bigger than Top Gear, he is a huge talent and a voice of reason for Britain.

They just had someone calling for Clarkson to be sacked on the news. This person went on to say how she watches top gear with her 10year old.. Then in the next breath slams Clarkson for being, in the past, sexist, racist etc. Why sit there watching with a ten year old then ? Everyone knows what he's like if you don't like it simpl, watch something else. It really bugs me when people moan about a programmes content after sitting watching it.

Who knows. After all the controversy over the years and altercations with BBC staff I have a feeling Clarkson might walk this time, and I have a feeling that his co-presenters may walk with him

It begs the question of who "owns" Top Gear. I may be wrong, but I don't think it's the BBC. I do believe that ever since it was reincarnated in 2002, the copyright has been the property of JC and Andy Wilman. If so, the future of Top Gear will turn on who needs who more.

I think we should spare a thought for the other guy in this "fracas". Whatever part he did or didn't play in what happened, he risks being painted as the guy who broke Top Gear. That would never be fair. Right now, he's doing the right thing, and keeping quiet.

Feel bad for me, I bought 2 tickets last month for Top Gear Live in Belfast, show is scheduled for May. £100 each. Better get the show I have paid for or a refund if sheit hits the fan.

If Clarkson walks/is fired, Hammond and May I'm sure will walk with him, all 3 presenters' contracts expire at the end of this month.

Saw the show in Liverpool it's epic, be a shame if all those with tickets lose out

Thought this would have got more of a bite on here.

No other clarkson or top gear fans on here?

They just get slated for saying what everybody else is thinking anyway. We are all adults surely.... Suarez is still playing football even after his antics. Top Gear is popular and many people like watching it because of what it is and who presents it, to those who don't like.. Don't watch!

Its an interesting one - such a profitable show.
Its pretty much the only show I will make time to view, or even turn the TV on for.

I can see BBC's point-of-view, Clarkson has been in the press for things he has said before (maybe trivial, but im guessing the BBC get a lot of complaints), so I think this has finally pushed them to do something.
That said, im suprised as it was earning the BBC quite a few quid.

I reckon the Top Gear trio already know what they are going to do - but keeping it on the low.
Im sure a few other broadcasters would love to be able to generate the same profit from the show, who knows -Channel 5 have 5th Gear, maybe its time for ITV to have a crack?

They are three great TV personalities who all work well together.
