good afternoon,

please could I have help with solving a problem with my car. I have changed 3 injectors for second hand ones, I have no fault codes, no lumpy-ness at idle but going down the motorway (doing 70mph in 6th gear) I get a misfire. do you think that its one of the injectors playing up or is it something else??

I have taken this to many garages to have a diagnostics done but cant find anybody that will tell me if the injectors are ok. im being told that the engine itself is good so if I go back to the garage what sort of soft ware do they need and do you suggest a live run?

thank you very much for your help in this matter.

kind regards Alan

If you have not done so, get the car scanned with VCDS. This software is able to log individual injector performance, so you may get a clearer picture of what is going on. One thing it might be is the injector wiring loom. These are known to fail on the BKD, and are easy to replace. Members on this forum can help you find an injector test vendor, if you want to have each one properly tested and calibrated. Many garages will also use VCDS, and charge you for it. Does your diesel filter need changing?
Good luck.

thanks for your reply. I will look into this VCDS and as for the wiring loom is brand new and so is the turbo and the EGR valve. I have changed the filter last week so I will so this out and will keep you updated.
many thanks
