hey all, i fitted my budget coilovers yesterday, was happy with the front but not the rear as it seemed high, so i removed the adjusters and let it sit on the springs and rubber ring alone was in a rush so didnt check it was level... anyway today ive noticed one side (drivers) is at least 15+mm lower??

could it be the rotation of the springs being different or one side settling quicker?

ive done some googling and quite a few r32 owners and audi a6 owners report this?
i think my first step is to swap the dampers and springs around and see if thats my issue, then start looking else where if not??
im pretty sure everything is good around that area but i will find out anyway, its got its mot thurs so any failed bushes will show up there i guess, just seems alot, car is riding fine!? i have moved it around the drive to see if it was on a bump and its got 1/2 a tank of fuel?

some r32 owners have even just resorted to running one side without the adjuster and one with to level it up?
any other s3 drivers come across this?

Ok its closer to 10mm but looks more

Wonder if the budget spring snapped!?

just went on ebay and they are now selling my kit for 450 quid! its a v maxx kit, i only paid 220!? not worth that imo... i checked some old pics and the s3 sat level on the standard springs...

at least its easy to mess with the back, just need some daylight now...

On standard springs each spring is diffrent (they usually have a colour marking on each one) on each corner because one side of the car might be slightly lighter or heavier. On coilovers there all the same, but u can adjust to get the right hight on each corner, but now u have removed the rear adjusters ur screwed lol,

What i would do is just use the middle piece of the rear adjuster put that back on the lower side and that shound give u ur 10mm

Lol they slot back in easy, never realised they had different rates on diff corners!?

Don't really like the idea of an adjuster in one side and not the other but its better than a wonky car. I had thought about it.

So lowering springs come sided then do they?

Its a **** design on the rear, even without the adjuster on the left theres a fingers gap, with it in on that side you have the choice of stock height or 40mm higher!

The rear is such a pain to sit at the right height. It's either too low like yours or goes too high, to higher than stock set up if you are not careful.
