Wagner intercooler ? Any good ..?

Little update, sorry didn't reply sooner...made few posts while on holiday ( not a good idea ), here's the propa numbers n story up until now...
...before fitting rs4 valve n wagner car made 352.0 hp 325.8 lb.ft , results after - 346.6 hp 308.7 lb.ft - not happy...
...fitted the loba hpfp next, car felt much much better again, didn't do the dyno...
...today - fitted milltek downpipe, decat, switched from Forge twintake to AmD cai, stage 2+ map - 357.4 hp 328.2 lb.ft - not happy...
...after talking with AmD got the DSG remapped, results after DSG remap - 373.4 hp 349.8 lb.ft car feels awesome :)
...next on the list is Santa Pod, cos last year my best times where 12.9s so will c in few weeks wot car is capable now, cos dyno will be dyno, u can't relay on it...will c if all the last few( very costly ) mods where worth it or just money down the drain...:whistle2:

So the DSG map seemed to work wonders then!
...in short...Yes it did, i was told that car was still making those numbers but dyno could not show them without DSG remap...
...after Santa Pod i will list the mods n cost n wot time improvement if any they have given me in real life...car feels good, so will c, welcome to speculate wot time it will make ;)

i know n after pod i will have to look into that...
regardin' DSG map n wot it does, i dont understand it 100% but it keeps revs higher, torque limiter been raised higher n shift points altered... there is a lot of info on the web about dsg maps...

I have mine mapped fella, just wanted to know what the (AMD?) map did - there are a lot of companies out there mapping DSGs and not able to tell you exactly what they changed.

Had mine custom mapped at R Tech and it was at 390lb/ft. Custom map was the best thing I ever did.

to be fair to amd i didnt ask all the small details, im sure they do know wot they r doin' ...
some maps r more aggressive than others...aggressive maps might give u more power but at wot cost...reliability...
dyno results can vary a lot, that's why im taking it to pod to c wot she makes after mods/maps and then i will c if i need to look into dyno numbers...too many people chase dyno numbers, im after 1/4 times...

350-360lbs is about right for a Stg2+ map,and to be honest the difference from 350lbs to 370lbs is around 5%,which most of us won't even notice, and is also within the tolerance/variations of some dynos.

As long as it's in the ballpark, and drives well,I wouldn't worry.

Just trying to share my experience of an 'off the shelf' DSG map vs custom and based on my experience custom is far better, just my 2p :icon thumright:

Its not all about the power with a DSG map but also quality of life stuff like custom shift points for an example :)

...thx, but as long as it does wot i need it to do, i don't care much about its origins, off the shelf or on the shelf who cares :anonymous:
going back to Wagner as title asks is it any good, well, my honest opinion i dont think there is much of a dif between top brands, welding on it was awesome, but do u need one for sstage 2+, not sure...will c in summer time, that is if we get any :uk:

...if i dont get the times im after mine might be for sale + the audi with it, cos i added up the money i have spent on it...scary...:ninja:

Sorry to dig up this old thread but i just found this post and now i am really confused :)

Has anyone else found nearly 30bhp with a DSG remap ?
